I grabbed a shot of this amazing cloudform whilst travelling by train over the Settle and Carlisle line. I have no explanation for the unusual shape!

Lincoln to Nottingham – a Midland railway. View from a train window.
Nice cirrus clouds seen on my evening commuter run back from Nottingham to Lincoln.
I spent two years as a commuter on the Lincoln – Nottingham line. The railway opened in 1846 and was the first line into Lincoln, running into St Mark’s station.
Although the modern railway seems somewhat soulless, I have tried to capture some pleasing moments from my many months of commuting.

Shot was taken early morning. The sky was overcast and it looked quite dramatic.

Nous rentrons tranquillement en cheminant entre les anciens marais salants.

No, es broma, solo se están formando nubes.
Gran Canaria está, por el momento, tranquila e inactiva, sin embargo, un cono de ceniza fue fechado por radiocarbono hace unos 3000 años, y otros conos y flujos pueden tener menos de 1000 años.
Muy reciente, en términos geológicos.
Hay frecuentes terremotos menores. Casi todos los cuales son imperceptibles, excepto para el equipo de monitoreo.

Gran Canaria is, for the time being, all quiet & dormant, however, one cinder cone was radiocarbon dated to about 3000 years ago, and other cones and flows may be less than 1000 years old.
Very recent, in geological terms.
There are frequent, minor earthquakes. Nearly all of which are unnoticeable, except to monitoring equipment.

A firey dance of light as the skys tryed to give us some much needed rain. But alas we got none as usual.
I was driving around downtown with my brother when the sky started to look like this, unfortunetly this was the best clear shot of it I could get without getting a ticket for blocking traffic.
