Qualche volta non c'è niente di speciale in una scena straordinaria. La luce e il tempo la rendono così fuori dal comune. Almeno così penso. Specialmente se vedo il cielo che dico io.

On the evening of Jan 12, 2016 a big snow storm was moving in and finally bringing 2.5 to 3 feet of snow to the Black Forest area.

Clouds produced by the Marine Layer, the source of the May Gray or June Gloom as we so affectionately call it, break against the high point at Saddle Peak in the Santa Monica Mountains. With an elevation of over 2,300 feet where the camera is, the cloud layer was quite thick this morning. I had not yet discovered a spot to gain enough elevation to see the sunrise, but after this trip I know where to go. It was fun to watch the clouds overflow like a giant tub of dry ice. Not long after this photo the clouds rose up and enveloped me.
