This was hardly the most attractive location for a landcape photograph, but in my defence I was initially drawn to the location by some low mist hanging over the nearby football field. Anyway, the mist disappeared before I had even put my wellies on, so I went for a short walk in the fragment of woodland near to Chilwell School. On arriving back to my car - the humble Corsa you see in the photograph - a very interesting cloud formation was beginning to materialise. I wish I had been in a more attractive location, but I nevertheless decided to make use of one of the large puddles that had been kindly provided by our relentless wet weather. A wide angle lens made everything seem more spaced out and distant, which helped in some way to distract from the fact that this image was made in the car park at Chilwell School.
Lenticular cloud on top of a rapidly developing cumulonimbus cloud.
This was a really localized storm. I saw nothing but sun from my apartment but the street and my car two blocks north were both wet.

I was visiting my uncle Jimmy in Mississippi (who is actually my great uncle), and the sky was just unbelievable. I was so glad I brought my camera.
Late day in Lubec, Maine. Turned the camera vertical here to get the harbor scene, sunset colors, and that great sky full of clouds.
Whilst it was great to see all the fields looking so golden with crops, the lines of the stubble also looked interesting. Nice to see clouds again as well!
