Happy Fenced Friday. My first ever visit to the Hawaiian island of Kauai recently certainly made me stop in my tracks to admire the landscape. This was one of those moments, despite walking into a swarm of small flies. While I love the clouds here, I nevertheless wish I could have captured this area's landscape on a clearer day too.
Flying past a line of thunderstorms I caught a glimpse through a gap between two cumulonimbus storms. Their anvil tops had merged together above me making this window through to clearer skies beyond.

After tea it's back to painting - a large poplar at dusk with a gathering storm. From time to time instead of this evening painting session I go bowling in one of the neighbouring villages, but not very often.---Gustav Klimt
I love the stormy skies, the cloud textures and the slight threat of walking under a gathering storm...

Happy Fence Friday!
Wanted to shoot the skyline again at night, but it was more of clouds and lightning show after it got dark. I tried to get lightning but couldn't. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.

Interesting clouds over the South Coast of England. Southbourne Beach Bournemouth Dorset October 2017
“Thirty-nine years of my life had passed before I understood that clouds were not my enemy; that they were beautiful, and that I needed them. I suppose this, for me, marked the beginning of wisdom. Life is short.”

Hiking in the green heart of Holland today
I am at JMU currently with my son on “move in/orientation day” for this semester and I am “supposed” to be at the parent orientation presentations, BUT, when I woke up this morning my one ankle was raging in pain due to Achilles Tendonitis which made sitting in cramp auditorium seats painful. So I found some comfy seats in the next building and as I was kicked back relaxing I saw these incredible clouds float in front of me in the huge window. So I took out the best camera I have (..at the time my iPhone LOL!) and grabbed a couple of shots.
