Interesting clouds over the South Coast of England. Southbourne Beach Bournemouth Dorset October 2017
“Thirty-nine years of my life had passed before I understood that clouds were not my enemy; that they were beautiful, and that I needed them. I suppose this, for me, marked the beginning of wisdom. Life is short.”

Hiking in the green heart of Holland today
The sun was so bright yesterday. I went under the trees and snapped this, love the way they framed the sky and clouds.
I am at JMU currently with my son on “move in/orientation day” for this semester and I am “supposed” to be at the parent orientation presentations, BUT, when I woke up this morning my one ankle was raging in pain due to Achilles Tendonitis which made sitting in cramp auditorium seats painful. So I found some comfy seats in the next building and as I was kicked back relaxing I saw these incredible clouds float in front of me in the huge window. So I took out the best camera I have (..at the time my iPhone LOL!) and grabbed a couple of shots.

leading edge seen on left. turned out we never got a drop of rain. And we are under drought conditions right now.
This was sent to the local TV weather report in honor of my father who passed away July 16 this year. He and I used to sit for hours and watch the clouds float by on a summer's day.

Every Cloud Has A Silver Lining" (be hopeful because difficult times always lead to better days... )
My local beach is a typical south coast sand and shingle affair and although it has it's own charms it doesn't have the drama of westerly shores. However mornings of spectacular cloudscapes are always welcome. Typical of a local patch my visits are fairly sporadic but I really must find a few more hours to spend there this year.
This storm developed to the west of Ottawa and moved eastward towards my home. The other storm picture is taken from the north side of the storm
