Flying past a line of thunderstorms I caught a glimpse through a gap between two cumulonimbus storms. Their anvil tops had merged together above me making this window through to clearer skies beyond.

Sometimes, when there is a touch of Narnia in the air, the wind is still, the water is quiet and the clouds come down to float on the lake.
Anyone who grew up a teenager during the 80s will recall this hit by the Eurythmics. This song played through my head as I watched the approaching storm while perched upon my Victory Crossroads bike. The result was one of my first landscape photographs featuring a warmly colored cloud formation with virga... and a wet and cold photographer. The refiner's fire for landscape photography I suppose.

Wanted to shoot the skyline again at night, but it was more of clouds and lightning show after it got dark. I tried to get lightning but couldn't. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
