Bright pink alstroemeria blooms fill the frame, their petals streaked with yellow and tiny dark flecks. The saturated colors and the layered flowers make a lively, joyful close-up.

the one big mistake i made was the top piece of trim - i sewed it on before sewing the lining on. so the lining is actually a tad over the top of the trim (the inside lining is some duck fabric she got from her nana years ago! finally had something to use it one!
Those are also just decorative buttons (thank god - every time i try to sew "usable" buttons, i can't make 'em strong enough)
but that blue trim was PERFECT for the edging , i am So glad i found it.

I love the way this pattern turned out in this color palate, I had to start the main yellows over twice, I couldn't find the right shade! But I'm glad did, love this!
April 4, 2026 - Ranunculus Macro Close Up at The Flower Fields in Carlsbad, CA. The Ranunculus flowers are at peak bloom now, so that is why I visited.
Yes, fragments are not very common either but neither is anything else we've managed to accidently dig up here. There are examples of plain, old stone- then there are the fossilized cells. My photographs are just not as revealing as I'd wish.
This type of worm, Eisenia foetida, is very sensitive to light and will burrow away from it. This is just a glimpse of them as they move away from the light when I open the bag.

Photographing this was difficult as the etching changes appearance depending on how the light hits it.
With the impending arrival of my first son I had to have a rearrange of my kitchen to fit in his steralizer etc. Here is some new piccy's to look at, the tiles and kitchen as its a rental property can not be changed but the rest of my kitchen has a 50's cupcake/diner-esque feel.
