You can see the Delicas and the bicones I used in this shot. The colors aren't quite what I hoped for.
One of the birds that was at the renaissance festival in a show, a red tail hawk. I got this nice profile of the bird. If you look hard you can see the reflection in the eye.

Do not under estimate this drivetrain. It may be inexpensive, but probably shifts better than any bike made 15 years ago! Mountain bike gears give you a nice wide range of gears.
The closest focusing distance of a regular or normal lens may be all that is needed to meet the close-up requirements of many photographers. The image above, from a normal lens, displays vignetting and barreling defects.
A macro lens is designed especially for close-up work. When compared to a regular lens of the same focal length, a macro lens displays maximum image quality at close-focusing distances.
The close-up shows how cleverly the stitching has added to the final effect. Extraordinary how well this has captured Pembury's gentle expression.

This is a close up of the custom made aluminum vise jaws made to hold small thin parts for machining. The part in the vise with the blue layout dye is one of the camera stays for my 5x7. Above the vise is the machine's mill/drill spindle with a small end mill cutter mounted.
Some details of the former Oriental Theatre lobby, which is the only remaining part of the theater still standing, as the auditorium was demolished in 1953 for a parking lot. The theater lobby itself survived demolition as it is housed in half of the adjoining apartment building. It is closed off to the public.
