Mins Auntie Carla kindly got her some magnetic feet recently including these cute sneakers, I worked out that a tiny knitted tube makes a sock, who'd of thought it :)
Another test of the close-up lense attachments, this was a kinda challenge set by one of my contacts, wont mention your name Adam, ooops.
For this, two lenses mounted together, a +2 and +10 dioptre to give +12 which on my kit lense set to 55mm nicely filled the frame.
Light was from a single Neewer SF-1 mini flash, fired through a tracing paper diffusion screen located at 12 o'clock, with 3 x white reflectors at 3, 6 and 9 o'clock. The background was a sheet of printer paper and the coin raised above it on a clear map/push pin.
I almost cleaned this first, but really glad I didn't, as the detail at full size is what makes it interesting. the blue copper crystals just below the second "N" in penny, came as a real surprise, I still cant see them with the naked eye.

Close-up of Chris & Carl's wedding cake topper - handmade unicorns made from sugar. I don't think I've ever had as much fun, decorating a cake!! I plastered the kitchen walls and worktops with newspaper first, though!

The Orion Nebula is one of the most scrutinized and photographed objects in the night sky, and is among the most intensely studied celestial features. The nebula has revealed much about the process of how stars and planetary systems are formed from collapsing clouds of gas and dust. Astronomers have directly observed protoplanetary disks, brown dwarfs, intense and turbulent motions of the gas, and the photo-ionizing effects of massive nearby stars in the nebula.
