I started a series back in 2018, called Flipover Series. It consist of 3 flipover rovers which have 2 different completely usable sides. The 3 rovers commemorate 6 eras of the old space themes.
This is the first one in the Classic Space / Futuron theme. It's the smallest one. It has the old lego light system.
On the Classic Space side you can access the battery. and can pack cargo on the back, and it's got lights for visibility.
On the Futuron side you have seats for 6 minifigs, 3 cannons and a small compartment for tools.
The cockpit can be rotated with a knob on the back.
Also the rover has 4 wheel steering with a knob in the back for steering. as well.
I wanted to share something for febROVERy...though technically this was built around November, as part of a larger project. (I hope to reveal more about that soon.)
Anyhow, CLASSIC SPACE. Enjoy!
An astromech droid fits nicely in the back seat of my two-seater 918, and can also be squeezed into the back of the original set if you don't care too much about an airtight cockpit.
1997’s Robo Master, the Big One from the bizarre RoboForce sub-theme!
That neon dome! And all the prints! It’s like a better version the Blacktron 2 pods, but it’s on this weird Beast Wars mecha. And it doesn’t detach to fly off. Bummer.
What does detach to fly off is pretty cool for how simplistic it is: a smaller Unitron Star Hawk II (#1789). A set design from another far superior Space sub-theme.
I don’t mean to hate on RoboForce this much, it looks cool, has tons of prints, neon transparent elements, and great minifigs with leg prints and updated helmet sculpts! All of that is awesome!
But why wasn’t this designed as a spacecraft? It would have been among the best. LEGO hadn’t figured out Mechs in ‘97, but they sure have now.
Final thought, what was the tail thing?
A weapon? A ‘robot’? A charger for the spacecraft?
More Retro Space LEGO sets to be featured soon, including more RoboForce

Heavy Ion Sample Taking Excursion Platform
Built for febROVERy 2018, though not photographed until March.
The LART-8 (Lunar Articulated Rover Tractor) is hinged between cab and engine, and features low-weight Mixel joints on the front and rear axles. The trailer hitch folds up when not in use.
"It's the 8-legged workhorse of the moon!"
A neo-Classic Space mining dropship. The LL-747 has multiple pod-style cargo holds to transport minerals from mining camps to more centrally located mineral processing centers. The ship also contains a small lab on the main deck to assist in small research experiments in the outlying settlements.
This is a 100% original modern take on the Cosmic Cruiser. It's derived from my Ideas GWP contest entry. Most Cosmic Cruiser variants have the motorcycle coming out the back and the bottom; here the motorcycle comes out of the top through the main hatch. The red version can be built in real bricks; the blue wedges at the back of the blue version don't exist in that color, and the windscreen doesn't come in transparent dark blue either.
A Lug member recently came in to this set, she offered it for sale it was mostly intact and did include the original red & white classic space guys. Here we see my twin daughters mini figures and a few replacement parts..
A neo-classic space diorama which double serves at exhibitions as a link to my online profiles. Photos taken during 2023 Hobby Poznań exhibition by Zbudujmy.to.
Yeah, we're moving soon. This house is where PCS started, and where that era ends. Been a lot of MOCs built here, and a lot of friends build out there. All that will continue, just a few miles closer to Atlanta. Holy cow I gotta pack all this crap up.
Figured I'd post something small but tricky next. Also, this is one that was not at BrickCon, so it should be new for everyone.
I never really appreciated this ship as a kid. I didn't like how the bottom of the cockpit was open. Now that I look back, I love the ridiculousness of that huge rocket engine mounted on the speeder. I also like the simplicity of the design that lets the pilot just fly it right into the back of the ship.
This is actually my most recent Micro build. Making it all work in Micro was a lot of fun.
Classic Space is awesome. This is my attempt at recreating the "feel" of the space sets of the eighties, 6952 Solar Power Transporter in particular.
The vehicle is hinged in two places, between each set of wheels and both new and old parts were used for the build.
The photo was taken in the dark using a flashlight as only lightsource and the "rocketeffect" behind the scooter was accomplished by pointing the flashlight directly into the camera.

My second entry for the contest "Out of this World Space Builds" on Lego Idea.
Story:
“A group of villain women have taken over Space and harmony. The heartless leader, Miss Andrea try, in her heart shape spacecraft, to flee the consequences of her actions, her reprehensible acts!!! She even has desacralized the logo of the M-tron to make W-tron (Women-tron), such an unforgivable offense!
At her pursuit, a coalition of 2 classic space squads, the leader of the "EK" squad, Eddy and the leader of "WAL" squad, Cindy. They have developed a strong bond and they are quite complementary; Eddy is a fine pilot and Cindy a good shooter especially with the ion gun that are perfect to disable engines. Together with their new alliance, the "EK-WAL" squad, they want to bring Miss Andrea to justice where she will have a fair trial with all the facts and proofs of her wrongdoings.”
See the main picture (story related) here
Tip: it’s kind of obvious but you need to read between the lines to understand my intention (say rapidly and out loud the name of the villain)
Not so many uploads lately, I'm devoting all the time I can find to building Classic Space Rovers I'm saving up for Febrovery 2013.
This one is not really in line with the rest, so I decided to post it as a preview. Hope you guys like it!
The Ideas project "LL928 comes home" has a Galaxy Explorer with a clever build, lots of detail, and a unique implementation of the lower fuselage. I want to like it, but it has too many greebles for my taste and it relies entirely on obsolete finger hinges to achieve the stud inversion, while generally mixing modern and vintage parts in a way that means it could never have been put into production in a form remotely like the original submission even if it had made it to the review stage. As an exercise in stud inversion and greebling, I made a Galaxy Explorer inspired by "LL928 Comes Home" that uses only modern parts and preserves what I see as the most important features of the original, with slightly less greebling.
