I turned up very late for this show back in May, but there was still plenty to see. And what about the weather?
Here they are from first to last. These are the classics belle dolls that I have. All are vary each other. And I almost have all of the variants, but I'm missing one. Which I'm sure I will stumble across one day. I love the classics dolls! They are the best playline disney dolls Mattel made in my opinion. As a matter in fact, all the first issue Mattel Disney dolls are wonderful.
A couple sharp looking veterans rest on a side track at Osceola. Despite the Soo heritage of this route, motive power here was all BN/GN this day. September 18, 2015.
Iowa Pacific and Juniata Terminal E8s meet up at Spencer. Painted in Illinois Central and Pennsylvania Railroad colors, the blasts from the pasts were looking fantastic in the Carolina sunlight.

L516 is underway during an afternoon rain. I've been shooting these SD75Is for roughly 30 years, some look better than others but I struggle to get excited about shooting them. However, with the rebuild program continuing to convert them into SD75IACCs I'm trying not to take the "originals" for granted. May 21, 2025.
One last look at the SOO duo as they make their way through Cambridge and on Andover to meet the MKCCN.

Rolleicord V, Kodak Portra 160, f22 1/125
Yesterday was supposed to be my last post before a vacation hiatus, but I wanted to share some happy camera-related news before I left. I got back a roll from my Rolleicord and I am glad to report that the film spacing problem appears to have been fixed by disabling the double-exposure lock, just as Barry Yanowitz suggested. Thanks so much, Barry!

They're a little warn but this pair of 50+ year old veterans of C&O and L&N heritage still look pretty nice in the warm afternoon winter light as they roll a loaded rail train south at Loachapoka. This pair attracted quite a bit of attention, and was a bit surprised that I pulled up and had the "Dirt Road" here all to myself. Hard to believe that we're at the point where Class 1 SD40-2s attract special attention, but these once-ubiquitous classics aren't getting any younger.
