Red MGB on the cover #1.
I bought Popular Classics regularly from about 1992 to its merger with Practical Classics a few years later. It looked at somewhat more down-to-earth cars than the likes of Classic & Sportscar, in fact much like the fairly short-lived title 'Your Classic' did. It was published by EMAP and Nick Larkin was listed as Features Editor - I think he went pretty much right the way through to it being absorbed by Practical Classics.
I seem to have a spare copy or two of this first issue, let me know if your life won't be complete without it...
My Updated Classics project on display at Arte em Peças 2013. More pictures of this particular part of the project will follow later :)
Dream Glow Barbie, my current "playdoll" is modeling fashion classics, a fashion from the 80s and in deed this is so 80s... I added her sleeves and a purse that were matching from Jewel Secrets Whitney. I love this style! What is your favorite 80s Barbies fashion?
Will the "true" Classics Devastator please stand up?
All three of my Transformers Classics Devastators side-by-side: TFC Hercules, Maketoys Green Giant, and the official Hasbro Classics release.
My favorite is still Hercules for design, construction, and overall appeal. I've kinda placed Hercules as part of my Masterpiece collection mostly due to his large scale.
I do like Green Giant as he scales better with the other Classics scale combiners and his aesthetic matches Classics a bit more.
Finally, the official set is only present to complete the collection. He was first, and the cheapest, of them all.
Looks like a Riley, well the remains of one anyway. Can't be sure which one tho'. Best guess so far is it's a Kestrel.
I was amazed by the beautiful artwork and craftsmanship displayed on the outside of this storefront. And I also made my first purchase of our trip inside here!
Nombre: Soundwave
Original Corgi Classics from the 1960s. Four of the Five cars (not the Daimler) were re-released in about 1985 and were followed by the rest of the modern Corgi Classics range. Oddly, one of the first of those was a Model T Ford van, based on the car seen here. It appeared as a drawing in one of 1960s catalogues, but was not issued until nearly 20 years later. Was the tooling actually made in the 60s? The drawing is very close to the subsequent model. See the Corgi Original Classics album for individual photos of some of the best of these.
Classics Voyager class Sandstorm in his VTOL aircraft mode.
The other Autobot triple-changer now has a Transformers Classics toy. He's an extensive retool of Generations Springer.
I'm actually quite impressed with this figure and have a fondness for his giant wheeled dune buggy mode. It's interesting how different they were able to make him with some new parts.

Nombre: Megatron (Ultimate Battle)
This Classics version of the Metroplex mini-bot Slammer, comes from the third-party toy maker Iron Factory. Officially named Manacle, he is part of the IF-EX02 set. Pictured in robot mode.
Slammer finally gets a robot mode, and the design looks like he's ready for action.
All the extra weapons the set comes with can either be outfitted on the mini-bots, or attached to Metroplex himself.
Nombre: Sunstreaker

Name: Sunstreaker
Allegiance: Autobots
Line: Classics Henkei
Class: Deluxe
Year: 2008
Number in Collection: 165
I decided that I will try to buy the Henkei figures instead of the Universe Classic Series, because of the best paint applications.
Sunstreaker is one of the best molds in the Classics/Universe/Henkei series. An excellent homage to the G1 character. Also, I'm very pleased with this Takara Henkei instead of the Hasbro versions.
