Built in 1946-1948, this Stripped Classical Revival-style building was designed by Joseph-Aimé, Albert, and Guy Poulin, along with Jos Vallières, to serve as a Provincial House for the Frères du Sacré-Coeur, or Brothers of the Sacred Heart, before being converted into the Collège de Champigny, a private Catholic-affiliated high school, in 1969. The building is clad in Québec grey limestone with a large central tower featuring a hipped roof, spire, and projected central bay, demarcating the building’s primary entrance, similar, smaller towers at the building’s various stairwells and secondary entrances on the side facades, replacement windows, a rusticated base, decorative trim, front steps with a semi-circular landing featuring a statue of Jesus in front of the doric front entrance portico, and a series of side and rear additions that were constructed to provide for the changing needs of the school within the building. Today, the building serves as the home of the Collège de Champigny, as well as quarters for the Provincial House for the Brothers of the Sacred Heart.
