In the late 18th and early 19th centuries the small Thuringian town of Weimar witnessed a remarkable cultural flowering, attracting many writers and scholars, notably Goethe and Schiller. This development is reflected in the high quality of many of the buildings and of the parks in the surrounding area.
Built in 1926, this Classical Revival-style monument was designed by John Russell Pope to commemorate the victory of the United States Navy at the Battle of Plattsburgh in 1814, during the War of 1812. The monument stands 135 feet (41 meters) tall, and features a limestone-clad exterior, a decorative carved relief at the base, a stepped ziggurat-style roof, a large bronze eagle sculpture atop the monument’s roof. The monument today is one of the most prominent features of Downtown Plattsburgh due to its height, and is surrounded by a park that offers sweeping views of the mouth of the Saranac River as it flows into Lake Champlain.
Indian classical dance is relatively new umbrella term for various codified art forms rooted in Natya, the sacred Hindu musical theatre style, whose theory can be traced back to the Natys Shastra of Bharat Muni (400 BC)

I was trying to frame the statue in the bricked up window, but there wasn't much room to manoeuvre indoors. The burglar alarm - is it interesting or ugly? I think the roof is a little distracting.
