Something I noticed is that almost all 'heritage' designated sites used electric hurricane lamps (huriccane lamps modified to use electrical energy savers). This include my hotel (see Al-Hijaz Motel photos).
The Avison Ensemble rehearsing and performing at St. Nicholas Church, Guisborough, for their concert 'The Trial of Harmony and Invention' on Saturday, 21st November 2009, where they performed one of Handel's op.6 Concerti Grossi and six of Vivaldi's op.8 Concerti for Violin, Strings and Continuo including "The Four Seasons", as well as one of Avison's Concerti after Scarlatti. This was the second concert of a three-day tour that took the Ensemble to the Foundling Museum (London), Guisborough and Newcastle. Director: Pavlo Beznosiuk.
The Avison Ensemble is the outstanding period instrument orchestra based in Newcastle upon Tyne, which plays and popularises the music of Charles Avison (1709-1770) and other English classical composers of the Baroque period, such as Garth, Arne and Herschel. The Ensemble also performs Purcell, Handel, Vivaldi, Corelli, Geminiani, Pergolesi, Teleman, Rameau, Bach, Mozart, Haydn and Beethoven.

The collections of the Antique Museum (maybe better named the Classical Museum) hold more than 500 plaster cast copies of classical sculptures and reliefs and 4000 original items from the Mediterranean area, covering the epoch from early bronze age to Roman imperial times.
"The Museum of Ancient Art" was founded by Professor P. J. Riis in 1949 as a study collection for the Department of Classical Archaeology at the University of Aarhus. The core of the collection was 500 representative finds from the classical cultures of the Mediterranean countries, permanently loaned to the collection by the National Museum in Copenhagen. In addition a number of plaster casts of classical sculptures came from the former Aarhus Museum.
Located at 1923, this Classical Revival depot was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987.

Bharatanatyam is a classical dance form of South India, said to be originated in Thanjavoor of Tamil Nadu. It was known as "Daasiyattam" since performed by Devadasies in temples of Tamil Nadu. The name 'Bharatanatyam' is derived from three basic concepts of Bhava, Raga and Thaala. The modern Bharatanatyam was systematically regularized by well known 'Thanjavoor Brothers', Ponnayya, Chinnayya, Sivanandam and Vativelu.
