Class room turned into a torture room in Tuol Sleng.
Tuol Sleng was a former high school turned into a detention and interrogation center, known as S-21, by Pol Pot's Khmer Rouge during the late 1970's. Inside S-21 confessions were tortured out of those imprisoned here as the detainees were considered enemies of the regime. Of the roughly 17,000 men, women, and children who passed through its gates only seven are know to have survived. The rest either died inside its walls or later in the Killing Fields.
Two King class locomotives storm out of Newton Abbott with an express for Plymouth on a busy Summer Saturday in the mid-fifties when holiday trains and specials had to be worked into an already tight timetable. Within a mile, the train would reach the start of Dainton bank the first of the fearsome Devon gradients on the route to the West.
In the background, a Devon General bus is passing over the bridge bound for the bus station in Newton Abbott having travelled from Torquay or possibly Brixham and in the far distance stands the cooling tower of the now-defunct power station.

A fine study of a Hipper class German heavy cruiser. I think it is Prinz Eugen, but I am not certain, and would welcome any further info or identification of the ship.

Until 2003, IIMK rented a corner of the REC Calicut campus. We have the dubious honour of being the last class to graduate from that armpit of Kerala. Pragna's class were the first to graduate from the new campus.
Whoever decorated that REC had very strange aesthestic sense. The walls were Lime-Green! The new campus appears to have better aesthetics.
