I saw that there was a test train through Kidsgrove a couple of days before this. I just thought it would be a DRS 37, but having got there some gen came through that it was 37175. Here is 37175 passing Kidsgrove working 3Z02 the 13:24 Derby R.T.C - Carlisle High Wapping Sidings 26/3/16
37006 at Doncaster on a mixed freight on 26 April 1975. This is another shot from the pre-war folding Voightlander camera. I have no idea who the young spotter is, but his salmon-coloured jeans are quite snazzy. 37006 was built by English-Electric in 1961 as D6706. It eventually became 37798, in which guise it was withdrawn from service in September 2007. 37798 was cut up at Booths in Rotherham in July 2009.

LS rail ran a 3 day Easter weekend tour around Kent with 37667 and 37688, after running round in Tonbridge West yard the pair head back to Staplehurst, where the train will restart and run non stop to Penshurst via Ashford, Rye, Hastings and back up via Tonbridge. 18 April 2022
Class 37 no 37113 takes the station avoiding line at York with a freight on 19 November 1981.
37113 was new as D6813 in February 1963 and was stored with collision damage in August 1994. After languishing in Portobello yard, Edinburgh for 12 months it was withdrawn from service in August 1995 and very quickly cut up on site by MC Metals.
37113 carried the name "Radio Highland" from September 1986 until withdrawal.
DRS class 37's nos 37601 'Class 37-Fifty' and 37038 provided the power for a Spifire Tours charter, the 'Jorvik Explorer II' on 30th October 2010. The railtour approaches Copmanthorpe, south of York, returning from Salttburn to Taunton.
Thameslink unit 700 106 was transferred from Three Bridges Thameslink Depot to Eastleigh Arlington works mid September behind 37 901.
Train 7Q70 ran on Friday morning returning the unit back home to Three Bridges, this time hauled by 37 407 'Blackpool Tower' in classic British Rail 'large logo' livery.
It was a lengthy formation of 22 vehicles. As well as the 12 coach class 700, there were four wagons (two of which had mounted 'Atlas' cranes), 4 barrier vehicles and even a couple of old Gatwick Express GLVs towards the rear of the consist.
37261 seen at Inverness with the 17.35 departure to Wick on Mon 15th October 1984. Note the Freightliner flat behind the loco. I don't know whether it went through to Wick, but it was still in the consist when it left Dingwall. It was an unusual sight viewed from the front window!

The 37 went onto the rear of the MGR that 56019 had brought out of Markham.Not sure if it was for banking, or there was a reverse move involved further on. 17.08.1981
After arrival from Lancaster, 37424 'Avro Vulcan XH558' departs Barrow-in-Furness with 5C31 to Barrow C.S.
37155 on ecs duties at lunchtime at Glasgow Queen Street station on 9th June 1986.
The loco had brought in the stock for the midday Inverness train and once released is seen re-entering the station to tie onto the back of the arrival from Ft. William, which had been hauled by 37409. She would then take the coaching stock up to be serviced at Cowlairs allowing 37409 to be released.

A class 37 enthusiast readies himself with his head out of the window for the spectacular noise and exhaust experience just about to commence as 37402 opens up to full throttle to climb up the 1.5 mile Cowlairs Bank, before branching off towards the West Highland and Oban lines.

Having been on the rear of a Doncaster C.H.S. - Newcastle Central - Doncaster C.H.S. Network Rail Test Train for the first leg of its journey north Class 37 37418 is pictured on Platform 2 at Newcastle Central at the head for the return trip with Class 37 37175 now bringing up the rear.
A look back at the fabulous sight of a large logo class 37 in the valleys. Here, 37418 climbs up from Bargoed towards Pontllotyn on a glorious evening in the Rhymney Valley. 2R20 17:01 Cardiff Central to Rhymney.

23rd March 1995. 37686 and 37405 "Strathclyde Region" pull away from the quarry at Tunstead in the last of the winter sun with 7F50 16:24 Tunstead to Oakleigh.
