Seems like modern buildings are a bit flimsy nowadays. The apparent brickwork is actually cladding.

"A road in Loughborough is set to stay closed for weeks after “dangerous” loose cladding was reported on a building. Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service (LFRS) taped off The Coneries at the Cradock Street junction, near the town centre, yesterday morning, Wednesday, January 24, after receiving several calls from members of the public.

Scaffolding was put up around the building so work can take place to make it safe. LFRS said it had contacted the landlord of the privately owned building and had spoken to him about “getting the cladding removed". The clip of compatible composite wood cladding holds the cladding boards perfectly. The sign off the building states "neves publicidade", and there is an inscription on the bottom left corner of the mozaic of "Gustaud de Vasconcellos 1959" - the artist perhaps?

Research for Design Is Material Exhibition

The first piece is installed on the Southgate Street facade of block B.

The second piece on the lorry turned out to be the wrong piece, this led to an influx of men with Flo-vests and lots of frantic phone calls. (see insert) The piece was later unceremoniously dumped over the hoardings.
