I made a pot of potato corn chowder today. It was very yummy. My husband usually makes this with crab, but the crab is too expensive anymore for soup. Check out the big osyter crackers. I love crackers and found these at the local Wegmans supermarket. I guess they are popular in the New England area. I liked them, Dennis did not.

Nothing beats clam chowder eaten out of the bread bowl. My friend noted that only Asians eat the bowl. I looked around and no one ate the bowl, except for a small group of Chinese tourists off in the corner, busily tearing at their bread bowls... us Asians waste nothing... I love it

Corn chowder, from Vegan with a Vengeance, and indian style fried rice. The fried rice was a bunch of leftover vegetables thrown in with a couple tablespoons of hot madras curry powder in a wok, with the leftovers of the spicy indian rice.
a couple of weeks ago at Quilt Guild holiday potluck, a lady made this pot of shrimp chowder was to die for. I have been wanting to come up with my own. It was fabulous...my 10-year-old say "between this and ice-cream, I'll have this any day!"

Canon Beach, Oregon
Canon beach's famoso Mo's eatery. It took some deliberation and blather to pick a place to eat. My aunt kept asking me where I'd like to go, as if I know anything about the places. I don't. So, seeing as how Mo's is heavily marketed, and we happened to be right by it, we stopped in for some food. It's not gonna rank as a must on my list of places to eat or anything, but it was a nice meal and gave me an opportunity to play around some more with the camera.
