The Lobster Shack was our first stop in Maine at Perkins Cove. That made up for the bad weather. Vicky had the seafood chowder while we waited for some yummy lobster and crab rolls.
Day 1: Getting There
I'm still trying to decode this shirt. I never caught a glimpse of the front, which might have contained a vital clue.
Based on this recipe (modified a little). I used the broth that I made here for this soup, and it worked wonderfully!

This was excellent!
Toast a couple handfuls of frozen corn in butter and olive oil, then remove to a bowl. Turn down the heat and sweat onion, garlic, chili powder, and chopped chiles. Add rest of the corn, plus one can white beans and heat. Add stock and blend. Add milk. Use toasted corn as garnish along with sour cream, lime, tajin, and cilantro.
Or for extra points, make crema from sour cream, mayo, feta, and lime.
tried it again with white beans instead of kidney, to emphasize the yellow color -- big improvement.
The recipe says to blend the corn at the beginning, but I blended everything after I put the beans in. And I used frozen corn but reserved some fresh corn kernels for texture.
