I'm looking for a new soup recipe so bring to Christmas day dinner and this one might be it. Its very creamy and has great flavor.
I got it from :

Cheesy Chicken Chowder
4 cups chicken broth
1 1/2 cups diced potatoes
1 cup diced celery
1 cup diced carrots
1/2 cup diced onions
1/4 cup butter
1/3 cup all-purpose flour
3 cups milk
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 teaspoon black pepper
8 oz Velveeta cheese, cubed (1 loaf)
2 cups chopped cooked chicken
Combine the broth and the vegetables in a large sauce pan. Cover and cook over medium heat for 15 minutes or until the vegetables are tender.
Melt the butter in a Dutch oven over low heat. Add the flour, whisking until smooth. Cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly. Gradually stir in the milk and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened and bubbly. Gradually stir in the vegetable mixture, soy sauce, cheese and chicken. Cook until the cheese melts and the soup is thoroughly heated.
I loved this sign against the beautiful sky. I wasn't there late enough to capture it with the neon on. In the Fisherman's Wharf neighborhood. San Francisco, California. Shot with a Nikon D200 and Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8 @ 27mm f/5.6 1/2,000.
Inspired by the main character from the Cartoon Network show, "Chowder." Pale pink, yellow and green with white.
a couple of weeks ago at Quilt Guild holiday potluck, a lady made this pot of shrimp chowder was to die for. I have been wanting to come up with my own. It was fabulous...my 10-year-old say "between this and ice-cream, I'll have this any day!"
Finding myself between series, I thought I'd drop this shot in. We recently completed the design, manufacture and installation of the signage for the new Chowder Hut at Fishermen's Wharf.
always sideways, ain't it?
Chow Chows or Chows are distinguished by their unusual blue-black / purple tongue. The bluish colour extends to the Chow's lips. Chows is the only dog breed with this distinctive bluish appearance in its lips and oral cavity (other dogs have black or a piebald* pattern skin in their mouths).
hickhick. another fawn coat.
*piebald - having irregular patches of two colors
