Time for soup...cleaned out the frig...veggie broth, corn, potatoes, celery, onion, carrots and seasoning all cooked and pureed together.

A string of sandwich boards promoting smoked clam chowder lead up to this final one in front of the Bodega Country Store.

An exceptionally textured Alaska seafood chowder as it is super flavorful because it's thickened using cooked down vegetables, not flour...(feel free to incorporate alternate seafood/shellfish, such as clams, scallops, crab, etc.)

Saw a post on Facebook from a friend back in the Bay Area about clam chowder, so we found one that used Thai ingredients… came out really nice.

A colorful door found at the Chowder House Cafe, in Cuyahoga Hts. Ohio. While I have not yet dined there, I hear that it is outstanding. Eat local -- check them out. I am going to.

Pearl Oyster Bar is supposed to be another heavy-weight in the NYC lobster roll arena but honestly, compared to Red Hook Lobster Pound and Luke’s Lobster, I don’t think it can handle the competition. foodforfel.com/2011/02/pearl-oyster-bar/

Clam chowder.

Thoroughly enjoyed at the historic Green Dragon Tavern.

Seafood Chowder. Made with Shallots, crab, and clams. Not near as good as the chowder in New England.

Nothing is more satisfying than a great cup of chowder on a cold day. This one was especially good... haddock chowder at the Gloucester House last weekend. We got a table near the fireplace which made it even more cozy!

One of my favourites but surprisingly, I don't think I have a favourite clam chowder.

VERY small minifigs

In relay races and chowdering, one must master the handoff or else there's really no point to showing up.

Some seafood chowder, and a Pike's Place IPA - a good solid choice for a Seattle lunch.

i remember when the seafood chowder wasn't some prawns, squid and a buttload of crabsticks. they used to have clams, and such :(
