This one came out great ....so much fun!

Look at the huge chunks of lobster! I'd never had lobster stew before so ordered just a cup. The broth was a bit uninspired, but the sweet delicious chunks of lobster were certainly well worth it.

I've finally worked out my recipe for clam chowder to how I want it. It tastes just how I want it to.

He asked her whether anyone came out in the rain. She asked whether he had finished his book. The smell of fried clams lingered between them.

Manhattan style chowder from Buckshot Betty's in Beaver Creek, Yukon. It was really good.

Kiev 88CM + 30mm Arsat + Across 100

A rather disappointing specimen for $6.95. This was pretty much a watery tomato vegetable soup with large chunks of carrots and celery. If there were clams in this "clam" chowder, they were minced so small that they were barely detectable. What I did find were larger chunks of pork belly. I suppose this isn't vegetarian friendly afterall (thank goodness I'm an omnivore).

Rum and spices.. Oh, and tons of seafood. Reminded me of Bouillabaise with a serious kick

Day Five

I'm a fan of corn chowder. This one is nice in that it is simple, isn't too rich and tastes, you know, like corn. Where the flavor is corn driven, the texture is poatato driven. I call that a winning combination.

Ingredients

3 tbsp butter

1 sweet onion (chopped)

3 cloves garlic (minced)

1/4 c flour

1 qt vegetable broth

Heavy pinch of salt

1/4 tsp pepper or to taste

3 yukon gold potatoes (well diced)

1 cup heavy cream

3 c corn

2 tbsp chives

Directions

Saute onion and garlic in butter until onions are translucent. stir in flour until integrated. Add vegetable stock, salt, and pepper and bring to a boil. Add cream and potatoes, return to boil for 10 minutes. Add corn and chives and reduce temp to simmer to cook 10 more minutes. Soup's on.
