I told myself that I'd go straight detox after my junk-food-vacation, but I couldn't resist the chili dog at Hotel Utah today.

Another B. Lots of cheese, dog was okay, beans were more like baked beans mixed with meat than chili.

Chili dogs are popular in the United States, where live many Mexicans, such as California, Texas and Arizona, and it’s not surprising because the people of Mexico like spicy food!

"Best Polish Boy": Sausage with slaw, fries, BBQ sauce

G&L started in downtown Muskegon in 1926. It was founded by two Greek immigrants named George & Louie.

Today there are seven locations, three of which are less then two years old.

Today, I had the notion to have a couple of chili dogs from Tommy's. Although they are better know for their chili cheese burgers, their chili dogs are just as good... I dare say even better than Pink's!

I dedicate these chili dogs and this image to a friend of mine who happened to love these just as much as I do. I wish I could share some with her today. Happy Birthday, Mona.

Located at 118 W. Lafayette in downtown Detroit, Lafayette Coney Island sits immediately adjacent to American Coney Island. Both restaurants serve primarily hot dogs on steamed buns, smothered in chili and raw onions, more commonly referred to in Motown as Coney Islands. Of course, this prompted the taste war to see which Coney Island reigned supreme.

The verdict: I found the bun, chili, onions and mustard better at the Lafayette Coney Island. However, I preferred the hot dog at American Coney Island for its flavor and snap. Ulitmately, the Lafayette Coney Island took the top because it maintained its charm and decor, seeming unchanged from the day the doors opened.

Really....it is....

Chilidogs, chips and a Mexican Coca-Cola

WV hotdog... minus the onion.

Our first bus was so late getting us to the Transit Center that we were going to have to wait for the next one. But I was hungry! — so I picked up some fast food at the burger place there. The onion rings were pretty good, the chili dog so-so. Anchorage, Alaska. 28 Nov 2005.

Pink's hot dogs at Cedar Point in Sandusky Ohio. This place is a famous hot dog joint from Hollywood and this one at Cedar Point is like the only one this side of the Mississippi.

We went to see Wicked. It was really great. Beforehand, we ate at Kabuki, and passed this place walking to the Pantages.
