This is not the best quality picture but I posted it anyway because it reminds me of my childhood. I did the same thing at this little girl's age - my parents would bring me down to Galveston where I'd walk up and down the beach collecting seashells. :)
Mischa met Feisty Kitty. I'm not sure either of them is entirely comfortable with the encounter.
None of my childhood dolls and animals had real names. They were called what they were: Frog, Baby, Bear, etc. Feisty Kitty was so named to distinguish her from KittyKitty.
A few notable exceptions were
-A doll named Abigail who I never played with. Ever.
-Miss Fuschia the bear, who was yellow.
-Scar Baby. (It's best not to ask)

Ash glazed plate with carved intertwining children and skip-cut patterns.
We decided to visit the exhibition for the selected ceramic works of the Chashan Kiln.
There was an entrance fee (~£2) and it was well worth it. We enjoyed looking at the exquisite works and seemed to take longer than others.
The security guard came over and pointed out this plate and the child in the middle - I think it was his favourite; he then told us it was Ok to take a photo.
The Chi Lin Nunnery set up the Chashan Kiln nearly 10 years ago and Mr Gao Feng took in apprentices, so far five students have completed their apprenticeship and this was an exhibition of some of their pieces.
Used to be a sweetshop in 1981 i remember the endless rows of sweets in jars and my mum buying me a pack of tootie frooties.
The Minister for Children and Youth Affairs Frances Fitzgerald TD today launched the Irish Childhood Bereavement Network which has been set up to support those working with grieving children and young people. Based on a UK model, the Irish Childhood Bereavement Network will act as a hub for those working with bereaved children, young people and their families in Ireland. The aim of the network is to facilitate easy access to a choice of high quality local and national information, guidance and support to enable children to manage the impact of death and the loss in their lives. The Irish Hospice Foundation has agreed to host the Network for the first two years and will seek to source funding for its ongoing development.

This was Adam's childhood dresser, complete with crazy vintage stickers all over. After much debate we decided that we wanted to use it for our baby and we decided to update it completely. I took these pictures for nostalgia purposes. :)
