State Line is an unincorporated area of Clay county in The Terreno Llano Seco basin ( TLS basin ) means dry flat land in Spanish . TLC basin is about 90 miles along ,by 20 miles wide in western Apache and Clay counties NM The Dry Bone service station and cafe ,with County Sheriff’s office State Line substation in the rear .
The day has finally arrived , election day 2022 ( Nov 8th ) ,We see Hazzard Range County Sheriff’s office Sergeant Butch Soto headed back to unit after casting his ballot at Fort Hazzard Community center in southern part of the county. The center is one of 9 places to vote in the county .
The Community center is in the old Fort Hazzard High school built in 1934 and used to 1965 school year when, Hazzard Range county schools system was formed and all students were bused to Sparta, the county seat . Unlike the elementary that was used from 1920 and used till 1939 when the High school was used for all grades . Elementary school building was torn down in 2017 . The old High school was turned into the community center in 1967 and has been used for that ever since .

A violation of the controlled substance act at the High school was handled by Hazzard Range County Sheriff’s office School Resource Deputy Crystal Vallez and Sergeant Parker Walles .

Hazzard Range County Sheriff’s office Deputy Brady Munoz took a report of burglary at home in Fort Hazzard . Scene investigated and cleared .
The Silverado was the top model in the C-series, now it's a model of its own. These were very common here since they were assambled here. They're still kinda common.
On this Saturday Aug 7th 2021 ,We see Clay County Sheriff’s office Deputy Timothy Byrdet and Sergeant Rick Fray entering the Smokintex Saloon here in Creekdale . They were dispatched to report of a fight in progress . .Rusty Hameler the bartender tells them the fight was broken up, both males left Saloon peacefully .

Just before 11:00 a.m On Monday, April 25, 2022, Hazzard Range county Sheriff’s office Deputies responded to a call involving a male subject who tried to break into vehicles at Gateway Plaza, a shopping center in Sparta . Sergeant Parker Walles was first Deputy on scene and observed the subject breaking into a Blue Chevrolet HHR . Sgt Walles activated his emergency equipment as he tried to get the Subject to pull over . .
After a short chase and with assistants of Deputies Clint Dallas and Shawn Ridge the subject was boxed in and taken into custody . The male subject was booked into the Hazzard Range county Detention Center on the outstanding warrants along with new charges of aggravated fleeing a law enforcement officer, receiving or transferring a stolen motor vehicle, attempted breaking and entering

Boom Police Dept Sergeant Lee Castillo took a report of illegal dumping on Black Gold rd ,Just north of Boom city limit. Scene investigate cleared .

Boom is dealing with illegal dumping problem . Police Chief Glen Roberts told the Journal that his dept along with county sheriff's office has seen up in last few months of people dumping trash in the basin and that they do there best to enforce the no dumping laws ,but with small man power it is tough .He noted that besides reminding people it is illegal to dump ,if you see or know of someone doing it please contact local law enforcement.

On this Monday August 2 ,2021 late morning ,we see Apache County sheriff’s office Sergeant Miguel Tamez talking to a NMDOT worker about rd closure of NM 33 over Verde Mts at Hairball creek bridge and Golddigger Subdivision rd .
NM 33 was closed in this area until NMDOT crews inspected the bridge after it was damaged by flooding last night .
On this 84°F Thursday March 22, 2018 after we see Forks Police Chief Walter Jackson talking with Sweetwater County Sheriff TJ Gonzales. They and Clay county sheriff Shawn Gray just got done in a meeting with Hazzard Range county sheriff Troy Forbes . Troy holds meetings with the heads of surrounding Law enforcement agencies ever month and today that is these three . Forks is a Village in Apache county ,but right on Southern county line of Hazzard Range. Clay county is county to west and Sweetwater is to the north .

Since July 1st 2017 the Hazzard Range County sheriff's office( HRCSO ) has memorandum of understanding ( MOU ) with Apache county ( county to south ) and Village of Forks for Law enforcement response , See with Forks right on the county line ,Hazzard Range county commission and sheriff Troy Forbes agreed to handled some calls and assist for calls that are close to Hazzard Range county line and vice versa . Like today with Forks PD officer Dean and deputy Munoz . So far since 2017 HRCSO has handled or assisted with 120 calls for service and Forks PD along the Apache county sheriff 's office has handled or assisted with 98 calls for service since 2017

On this Wednesday April 25,2018 mid morning ,we see Hazzard Range county sheriff's office Deputy Scott Doald setting up mobile speed radar trailer along NM state 168 in Rio Grande Junction in southern part of the county .
It's been less than a month since the shooting and robbery at 210 Main St ( Zack's Convenience store ) in Boom which resulted in an officer involved shooting that left one suspect dead and another injured along with one Boom Police officer shot . While NM State police and 14th Judicial District Attorney's Office continue their investigation into both incidents that left this small community in shocked ,but now rumors are flying .
Police officer Jay Bosh was one shot and still recovering and Police Chief Stanley Chavez is on paid admin leave .After shooting Police Captain Lee Castillo was appointed interim police chief by Mayor Rick Gram who we see here talking with Albuquerque News station crew outside of the Police station that is looking like a used Police dealership . As all vehicles but two seen here are not in use ,just the Tahoe in the background that Boom Police Sergeant Ron Brook is about to get into and one Ford Police interceptor assigned to officer Jason Cabill.
Meanwhile, one suspect is still behind bars at the Apache county detention center; the store clerk who was also shot is still recovering at Apache Regional Medical Center.
Boom is in Western Part of Apache County NM in the Terreno llano Seco basin ( TLS basin ) and Terreno llano Seco means dry flat land in Spanish . Boom has a population of about 1,798.
It is named for the oil boom that started in the area back in the 1950s

District 4 and current Commission Chair George Dallas " G.D " who yet again is unopposed in Primary and general election . Same for District 3 Vice chair Commissioner Fred Taller ,Judge Henry Sims and county assessor Holly Clark.
Only county races contested are County Sheriff . Current sheriff Troy Forbes has Alan Cay running against him in the Republican primary in June . County Magistrate Judge Sally Harts is also contested ,in fall though . By current County Municipal Judge Chris Lock .

Clay county Sheriff Shawn Gray and NMDOT is advising that if you don’t need to be out traveling on the roadways please don’t. Roads are icy in spots. Snow and blowing snow are reducing visibility .If you have to travel Please drive with caution, reduce speed and obey all posted traffic signs. NMDOT crews are out plowing the roadways .
