Finally I bought the lens I wanted for long time, and I'm excited to see what new things I can get with it.

Day 147 for the "2019: one photo each day" group

In the center of Amsterdam there is an area next to a canal {where isn't} with a very large chess board with giant pieces. I found the spectators more interesting than the game. This guy never moved either bodily or facially during the whole chess game.

Thank you very much for your comments and faves, regretfully, I am finding it increasingly difficult to reply to your comments, because of my very limited time on the internet, due to constant power interruptions in South Africa. I do read and appreciate every one of them, however! Thanks again!!

Though I still contend that it is a misnomer, The Naked Brunch at Alibi Lounge is great.

(It's in the afternoon, therefore not really brunch, which as I understand it is between breakfast and lunch)

10. B4 - part of the epic chess game between Mr Tris and Core246

From the descripton on his Instagram post, "I'm moving a Pawn forward to push Core's Bishop out.

I depicted archers shouting arrows at the Bishop camp at night. Core has to move or lose his bishop under a rain of arrows."

Family fun day in Cathedral Square. On a walk around the city. Christchurch October 1, 2017 New Zealand.

Today's prompt asked for A Game. The game I chose was Chess. I used to play it a lot, but once you stop playing you loose the rhythm of the game and it takes a long time to remember the patterns and the strategies. I really should go back to it, but it's difficult to find a chess club where I live. Like so many things, computers have taken over and, while they are great for learning the game, playing against a human opponent is much more satisfying, even if you lose, which I did a lot!

Has that bishop just left d3 for c4, or is it leaving c4 for d3, or b3 or maybe to capture on e6 or f7. Or perhaps it is en route to b5?

Washington, États-Unis | 2017

We were finishing off a chess game this morning and the rising sun hit the pieces just right. Not good enough for a photograph, so I did a little quick set up that you see here.

Life is like a chess game sometimes.

I want to thank to my friend Octavio, who posed for this shot.

Now this is the type of chess game you've definitely gotta win!!!
