My man Iain in Edinburgh sent through this shot of what I can only describe as the most revolting and delicious thing in the world.
The Cheese n Burger – or Cheesy Burger – consists of one slice of processed cheese between two meat patties. Deep-fried of course. It needs no condiments, but vinegar complements its fatty saltiness.
For those not willing to grease up their fingers, it comes wrapped in clear acetate before being wrapped in paper (and sometimes an additional polystyrene box).
The best known variety hail from the Concorde Fish Bar – 49 Home Street, Edinburgh, EH3 9JP. I quite like em from the Globetrotter chippy up on Bruntsfield Place too, where in spite of my protestations, would always give me 3 or 4 chips. Ya cannae ha' one wi'out.

Swiss delicacyS, the Girolle, which is the unique cutter and Tête de Moine (monk's head) which is the cheese that goes with it.
Near the town of Bellelay in the lush mountains of Switzerland’s Jura region, Tête de Moine cheese was invented over 800 years ago by the monks of the Bellelay Abbey.
According to tradition, this cheese must never be cut or sliced.
Instead, you must first slice off the top rind of a whole cheese, then for each serving, scrape a thin layer from the top of the round, working at an angle so as to make the edges crinkle.
This forms the cheese shaving into a small flower shape called a rosette.

30th May 2005: Coopers Hill, Gloucestershire. The Cooper's Hill Cheese Rolling and Wake is an annual event held in the month of May at Cooper's Hill, SO892146, near Cheltenham and Gloucester in the Cotswolds region of England. It is traditionally by and for the people of Brockworth - the local village, but now people from over the world take part. The event takes its name from the hill it occurs on. From the top of the hill a round of Double Gloucester cheese is rolled, and competitors race down the hill after it. The first person over the finish line at the bottom of the hill wins the cheese. In theory, competitors are aiming to catch the cheese, but since it has a one second head start and can reach speeds up to 70 mph (112 kmh, enough to knock over and injure a spectator as it did in 1997), this rarely occurs.
Accurate information is hard to come by, but the tradition is at least 200 years old. Suggestions have been made that the event may either date back to Roman times or have been a pagan healing ritual, but there is no evidence for this.

Imitation Cheese
If it fits in a tub or a tube, it is imitation cheese. I had a guy nearly screaming that his collection of his favorite food of all time - Philadelphia Creme Cheese - was NOT IMITATION, and each of the label flavors in his collection was "real". I told him to look up the history of KRAFT corp. and Velveta, another 'pourable cheese' and the entire company is formed into processed milk containers, I said, licking the knife clean of Miracle Whip - hold the Mayo....
