Il promontorio del Parasio è il centro storico medievale di Porto Maurizio ed è uno dei simboli che caratterizzano la città di Imperia. Ricco di opere architettoniche, tra cui chiese, antichi palazzi e caratteristici vicoli tipicamente liguri (carrugi o caruggi), offre a chi lo visita scorci mozzafiato che solo un borgo affacciato sul mare possiede.
La signora qui fotograta ha per sfondo l'immensa distesa del golfo poiché il promontorio è quasi a picco sul mare.

Taken at Cheese Market (Kaasmarkt) in Alkmaar, Netherlands.
The largest of its kind anywhere in the World, this cheese market turns a square in central Alkmaar into a hive of activity, as the cheese carriers dart about, slaloming between thousands of Gouda cheese wheels lined up on the ground.traditional merchant cheese markets as operated in the post-medieval period, re-enacted during the summer months for tourists. The shows are today surrounded by stalls selling all things traditional to the Dutch culture, including cheese.

Dutch cheese farmers traditionally brought their cheeses to the market square in town to sell. Teams (vemen) of official guild cheese-porters (kaasdragers), identified by differently coloured straw hats associated with their forwarding company, carried the farmers' cheese on barrows, which typically weighed about 160 kilograms. Buyers then sampled the cheeses and negotiated a price using a ritual system called handjeklap in which buyers and sellers clap each other's hands and shout prices. Once a price is agreed, the porters carry the cheese to the weighing house (Waag), and scale of their company.

This was the view from the Cheese Press Stones high up on Keld Head Scar, looking South towards the distant Lancashire coastline.
I was out in the Yorkshire Dales with John Bleakley and we had ended up here late in the day, where we were treated to, more or less, constant displays of the suns rays in the distance, as the winter sun kept piercing the cloud cover.
I do admit this was'nt the best composition, but I tried to get the distant rays and the stones in the same shot. Such was the position of the rays, it made it difficult to get the two gigantic rocks separated sufficiently and in doing so they actually look quite small too.

Alors, la prochaine fois que vous entendez “cheese”, rappelez-vous que c’est juste un petit truc pour vous faire sourire… même si vous pensez à autre chose 😉

I thought of the "Tom and Jerry" cartoon version of cheese for today's challenge. This section is about an inch and a half across and lit by window light.

I can't keep my hands away from these cheese puffs. But oddly I don't like cheese. I usually order my sandwiches or burgers without cheese but these cheese puffs are yummy. 😋😘

とかいう生活には特に憧れはない。
だって、お酒飲めないんですもの。
それはそうと
Deco(c)rate っていうイベントじゃないけどなんかそんな感じのやつ。
L$1500で15くらいのお店からのアイテムがまとめて買えるというやつ。
前もってお支払いしてたら毎月8日にそれが配達されるというやつ。
少し前にふりっかであちこちのお店から告知のSSがアップされてたのをちらちらと見ながら、サイトにも目を通してみたものの、
L$1500という金額に腰が引けてスルーしてた。
だがしかし、
最近ふりっかでよく見かける素敵アイテムがそのDeco(c)rate のアイテムで、どうしても欲しくなってゲットしようとサイトをもっかい確認したら、8日が過ぎた後はL$3000で買えるよって書いてある。
3000。3000。3000。
さらに腰が引けちゃったんだけど、今回カフェの模様替えをするのに絶対にほしいアイテムが含まれてるから、思い切って3000お支払い!!!
久々に変な汗出たけど、欲しかったアイテムを含む素敵アイテムが諸々ゲットできたのでご満悦ヽ(゚∀。)ノ
12月分はもうしっかりお支払いしといた。

The earliest references to cheese production in Greece date back to the 8th century BC and the technology used to make cheese from sheep's or goat's milk, as described in Homer's Odyssey involving the contents of Polyphemus's cave, is similar to the technology used by Greek shepherds today to produce feta. i used fine wholemeal plain flour, didn't add the garlic, used skimmed milk and added some dried herbs
i mixed the dried herbs in the dry mixture. next time i'm going to mix the herbs gently with the grated cheese to see if there's a difference to the taste of the muffin. though having said that, i've got thyme growing in the garden i may use fresh thyme instead

The first proper freeze of winter is upon us, and the start of the colder months is really here. I love winter, being out early, wrapped up warm, footsteps crunching on a fresh frost. It’s definitely my favourite time for landscape photography. I paid a visit to a local haunt this morning, The Cheese Wharf on the River Thames at Buscot. I’m glad I did too, as the sunrise was stunning to say the least!
