Gintas' 70th Birthday Celebration

He likes to ride his tricycle, although it's only just recently that he's started pedalling.

This image tells a story of a woman lying down, her Boyfriend is getting out of bed beside her. This shows any normal couple relationship by the way they both are in the bedroom and she's sleeping and he's getting ready to leave the room. I think this image is easy to understand as the props and character surroundings give it away.

Don't cheat, do your own work, simple as that

Four non-genius people can complete a game of Scrabble in 20 minutes if they're willing to let the rules relax a bit.

Sometimes a photo straight out of the camera is boring. Sometimes (often, if you're me) you go too far in your post work.

This pic needed all the sharpening and clarity-ing and contrasting anf vibrance-ing I could ladel on it.

ladel is an odd word. Ladel. Ladel ladel ladel. Funny.

when atheletes were caught cheating the penalty was for their town to pay for a statue of them with the name of the town on it.. thus bringing shame to everyone who lived there.... here is a row of the cheater statues!

A friend told me that taking pictures of kids is cheating. I couldn't help but cheat on this one.

Composite photo project.

The cheaters version. Not necessarily better, but more colorful and darker.

cheat one, pre-chopped garlic (in water); cheat two, frozen basil cubes

I call this a cheater HDR photo because I only used one shot to generate the range. You take one properly exposed photo and adjust the exposure settings to get one with the highlight detail (under exposed) and one to get the shadow detail (overexposed). You mash them together in Photomatix and get the HDR photo above.

The only real difference is a little less detail on the ends of the ranges. You also get less of the halo seen in the last shot.

Cheater HDR is great with real-life macro because of wind and the like. It is nigh impossible to hand-hold three exposures properly for macro HDR.

So maybe less "cheater" and more "creative use of software."

85% of the student admitted sometimes they cheat during the exams.

So when kids have birthdays I'm allowed to cheat! It was seans 2nd bday today so they brought donut professor donuts for breakfast, dominos for lunch and cookies from petits pastry for dessert!! Omg. Best cookies ever.

Well, maybe not, but sometimes it's fun to observe photographers. The photographer is at Huguenot Memorial Park, though I'm across the Fort George River.

Just look at the detailing on those sparkly claws!

Made from a printed duvet cover with a duvet pushed inside and then quilted by hand along the lines. My make a month for April 2010! I call it a cheat quilt as all I did was quilt it rather than actually make the patchwork - I love it anyway!
