Jennie Hodge and Karen Ramey phoned me this afternoon to let me know they'd found a flock of about two dozen Sandhill Cranes this afternoon. When I got there I saw 29 cranes postholing and stumbling a bit in the snow as they foraged. They're really neat birds.
