I've been under the weather the last few days, but even so I couldn't resist the urge to get up before dawn and drive out to Lake Wateree in South Carolina to test out the new Singh Ray Gold-n-Blue Filter - glad I did! What an amazing piece of glass! #SinghRayFilters #ExploreCarolinas #LandscapePhotography #CanonPhotography #ChasingLight

The sunrise color was a happy surprise and I always enjoy the human element for perspective; rebel photographer in this case!

Hang in there folks. It's almost Friday!

She stood where the sea kissed the fading light, a quiet silhouette against the golden sky. The waves whispered stories around her feet, soft and endless, like time gently folding into itself.

There was a stillness in her presence — not empty, but full. Full of wonder, of quiet strength, of the kind of beauty that doesn't need to be spoken. Nature adored her, framing her in its finest hues, holding her in the last embrace of day.

And in that moment, she wasn’t just watching the sunset — she was the promise that tomorrow would rise just as beautifully.

The sepia tones convey and reflect the calm of the Hoogly( ganga) at sunset. There's a quiet poetry in this moment — peaceful, timeless, and full of moods and atmosphere

Every morning on this short trip, I arose to greet the sunrise. On this particular morning, all of the action wasn't over the water ... the main attraction was the mist lying low over the fields and dunes.

I passed a farm and witnessed the most amazing display of sunbeams filtering down through the mist ... and imagine my joy ... right down through a fence!! Please enjoy a misty morning sunrise in Northern Michigan in the lightbox!

Happy Fence Friday & Have a Great Weekend Everyone!

Powerful nature is on full display here in a wash of softness creating a contrast of emotional pull. Tones define shapes and hide unnecessary elements so that my eye can focus on the sublime elements that remain. Textures create lines for my eye to follow. The drama leaves me breathless.

There’s something special about stumbling upon a hidden waterfall deep in the backcountry. No trail signs. No crowds. Just the sound of rushing water pulling you in.

As the afternoon sun filtered through the canyon, the falls exploded into a soft mist, scattering light in every direction. The walls around me seemed to glow. This is a quiet reminder of the magic that still lives off the beaten path.

Green accent colors grab my eye and pull it upward into the frame. The building rises and celebrates a cloud-filled sky as it mimics the colors and patterns on its gleaming surface. Drama is apparant in the angled designs within the glass as they jut skyward. An abstract of sorts but its reality is tanglible enough to recognize.
