Here I'm leaving, the sails are already hoisted, the sheets are at the sign, the food stock is done..I'll sail away as long as my sails are full, as long as the seas don't end, without any compass...the sails are just hoisted, the chains are just up on board, the sheets are pulled...
If only the right winds would blow...i'd sail away chasing pirates....well...c'mon come away with me you as well...

With no students during the holiday break, my son and I went chasing morning shadows among the buildings on UW campus
Bom , ele está arrasando em GG , dai deu vontade de blenda - lo , peguei seus shoots antigos , porém que lhe destaca são seus sorrisos .
Usei a tonalidade bem naquela vibe verão 2012 ainda , é :/
I hope enjoy it , guys ♥ , cheers .
I was off trail making my way thru the leaf litter when this Long-eared Owl flew by at shoulder level and landed in a tree 25 feet away. He didn't stay. He immediately continued his flight because 15-20 Grackles were after him. I followed the Grackles hoping to find the owl, but a minute later I watched him flying low over a field as he exited the area. The Grackles didn't follow.
Arctic Skuas go about their business by mugging other seabirds for their hard-won fish. In fact Arctic Skuas rarely catch their own food, preferring to steal someone else's. I have seen Arctic Skuas chase many times but until now the action has always been too far away to capture with my camera. Searching Flickr there seem to be very few photos of Skuas chasing so it appears that others have the same difficulty capturing them. On this trip to Svalbard I managed to capture a series of images of two Arctic Skuas working in unison to relieve a terrified tern of its food. I took this photograph in Kongsfjord on Spitsbergen, and I thought the little iceberg was a nice touch showing it was taken in the arctic.
Arctic Skuas are known as Parasitic Jaegers in America, which means hunter in German. Its scientific name Stercorarius parasiticus reflects the fact that it hunts parasitically (or kleptoparasitically) on other seabirds. Now the name Stercorarius means "pertaining to dung" and is given to a variety of dung-related animals such as dung-beetles and yellow dung flies. The name was given to Skuas because frightened birds also evacuate their bowels, and early observers thought that the Skuas were trying to make the birds defaecate, so they could eat their droppings. In reality the chased birds were disgorging food from the crop that they were bringing back to feed their own chicks. This misobservation led to an inappropriate name, which has stayed with the poor Arctic Skua ever since.
The sky is her blue eyes
Begin to open
The storm is upon me
But I'm chasing the sun
And she's got me down on my knees
Trying to crawl
Through all of the winter
Through all of the fall...
She's like a sweet summer
A sweet summer day
And I can't let her
I can't let her go to waste
She's like a sweet summer day
I want to breathe in her air
I want to crash through the waves
Into her fields where
These memories are made...
Now there's no turning back
I'm lost somewhere deep inside of you
The clouds have been lifted
And you're breaking through...

Chasing the blue!
Another grey day here in Norfolk, and not the best of days for landscape photography. I did however manage to find one little bit of blue in the sky while driving down the road near Shernborne this afternoon, so had to pull over and take a photo just so I can look at this photo and tell myself that Spring will arrive soon, it will, honestly! :)
I took this photo in the afternoon of my fitsr day excursion. I just chased this train to take a beautiful moment. And now when I see it I feel...like I 'll chase my life away...
Simplicity! That is basically what I try to reach with my photography. However, many time I end up with drama and lots of colors instead. That is why I chose to keep this one very basic and suggestive.
So here I am, chasing clouds...
Lothian brand new fleet of route 26 chasing behind 665 heading along London Road. 23rd September 2017.
Thanks to Connie, we spotted this kestral high on the top of a tree.... there were blue jays, woodpeckers and grackles that were very unhappy with its proximity, and the chase began... the kestral stood its' ground for a while, then would move back and forth between the top of this three and a nearby one, but must have had its eye on something close by, because it wouldn't leve the immediate vicinity. This persistant little jay finally got it to move on....but only temporarily
Heavily cropped, and not the cleanest, clearest shot, because of the distance and the light, but I was excited to get this kind of action after being away for so long. Hope you enjoy. Explored November 3, 2010. Highest rank # 487.
This Prinia was busy chasing another. Despite some minor rolling shutter effect, I still find the moment to be quite unique.

People tend to change from place to place. You'll find people nicer here, a little more distant there, etc.
But crows are all the same. Once again, I saw a crow chasing a bigger bird of prey. This buzzard was peacefully standing on a fence post nearby, when a crow began to attack him.The buzzard had no choice but to leave, as a second crow joined the first one.
What a bunch of jerks.
A grab shot of a RockCut Scammell S26 with a Cat 330B excavator aboard its trailer taken as it powers away in the opposite direction from us near Luqa airport
Under normal circumstances I would've spun around and put the hire car into 'hot pursuit' mode to get a better picture, but unfortunately we were on the way to catch our plane home!

A while back I happened upon some nice bridge shadows and thought it should be easy to use The Photographer's Ephemeris to figure out when they would be nicely placed on the river and with the low Winter sun would stretch out a long ways down the river too. The TPE bit was easy but there were some unexpected surprises / fun things to learn too - full story in first comment below. From a fun morning chasing shadows with Sarah and Jim/JP Hansen @ Random…¡ Shadow box view. The sun azimuth / altitude was 174.60° / 21.25° when this was taken. NB7568
"Merganser Breakfast Chase" by Patti Deters. Here we see dramatic action between two common mergansers (Mergus merganser) as they engage in a high speed chase over a large fish at Colvill Park in Red Wing, Minnesota, USA. The female merganser, with her characteristic rusty-red crest and speckled grey body, clutches the fish firmly in her serrated bill, designed for gripping slippery prey. Meanwhile, the striking black-and-white male with his sleek, dark head, creates splashes in the water as he aggressively chases her for the prize. The mergansers, sometimes called “sawbills” for their specialized beaks, are not only battling for a meal but also showcasing the wonders of competition in the animal kingdom. Who will claim the spoils of this aquatic duel? Thank you for viewing this image. DDC-Days Gone By....(photofacefun edit)
Before we got Shizandra she lived at the McKinley Animal Shelter in Grants, NM. Sena, the lady who cared for Shizandra told me that she was constantly chasing the horses. In fact they had to stop her, she was driving the poor horses crazy! To this day when there are horses on the TV Shizandra will run over and watch them. She may be a mixed breed, but the Border Collie is strong in her!
My first attempt at waterfalls... ( hard to find them in South Fla, lol )...
Laura & I left the state for a weekend getaway of camping, hiking, and chasing waterfalls.
Happy week to everyone !
Chase the light Mt Cook National park.
I felt like we literally were chasing he light this afternoon. 7 photographers literally dove out of our van and spread out like soldiers hunting down the enemy…ummm or the light. Scrambling to quickly nail a composition as the light was fading.

On Saturday I went on my first train chase, photographing NS 9511 as it traveled through Northeast Georgia. I caught up with the train first as it crossed Lake Lanier in Flowery Branch. The second shot was taken as it passed through downtown Lula. Finally, I captured it as it crossed the Wells Viaduct in Toccoa. Total distance of the chase was 47 miles. And then I turned around to chase a southbound train from the Wells Viaduct back to Lula.

A two week blockade of the Chase Line from Rugeley Trent Valley to Walsall commenced on 13th August, which in turn has generated a number of departmental workings. One such was on 15th August 2017, hauled by Colas Railfreight Class 56 No. 56113, with Colas Railfreight Class 60 No. 60026 tucked on at the rear seen working away from Rugeley Trent Valley along the West Coast Mainline. A bottle of Vodka I had for Christmas that was screaming out to be photographed.
Having completed a carpet refurb of the whole house I finally have my man room back! So tonight I set to... Chilled vibes blasting from Spotify and 2hrs later I came up with this. I would have liked a little more contrast but hey.... it's finally time to crack it open!
Cheers!
Lit with one YN968 1/16 24mm. Fired into large reflector diffuser from behind bottle. Black foam board at 90° to bottle for a little rim although this proved to be ineffective! YN560IV 1/128 24mm fired into bottle top at an oblique angle for bow lighting. All fired via YN560TX. Curves sliders slid in LR to improve contrast.
