Horses are off and running at Hoosier Park, Anderson, Indiana. The late afternoon sun breaks into a rainbow as it hits the infield fountain.
I want to breathe in her air
I want to crash through the waves
Into her fields where
These memories are made...

I love this place so much as it too is one of my retreats when I need some time away from the world. I usually am up here way before the sun comes up, where it is just me and some deer watching mother nature wake up the world.

My photos have become so similar and/or repetitive that I sometimes feel like I'm chasing my tail. Anyone else feel that way, or is it just me?
I captured this unusual looking wasp at the CSU Annual Flower Trial Garden in Fort Collins, Colorado. (Zuiko 50mm macro, f/8.0, 1/500 sec., 500 ISO, handheld)
Chase Tower Plaza in the arts district of Dallas, Texas. A contrast of architecture is what you find in the arts district.
I have not been able, try as I might, to the meaning of the four spires with two U.S. flags, and two Texas flags represent. I will keep checking on this, so in the meantime...
In the distance on the plaza is the domed fitness center for employees of the Chase Tower.
(The day after this photo was taken, my wife and I both fell victim to the flu. This is day seven, feeling a bit better, but still weak. We both are taking it slow, avoiding over doing it. Don't want a relapse.)
I have seen once in Chase Water after that I been there several times but couldn't see this image again.
Nature is amazing if you just happen at the time and at the place but it will never again the same image or sight.

"Chasing Sunset:" This is another view of last night's sunset. I had noticed out of the corner of my eye, some clouds and color that were developing outside of my original composition. As soon as it appeared the original framing was not going to become more dynamic with color, I shifted positions and captured this.
The tallest building in Indianapolis has had various names over the years. At the time this image was made in 2011, it was known as Chase Tower. (Scanned from a slide)
Apart from some people, and one dog, the only thing I miss about the Midlands is Cannock Chase. It's a wonderful place. Colin's oak picture reminded me of this.

Photography is my hobby like many other people I have good days and bad days and sometimes an amazing day. I try to post various types of subjects and idea's that interest me and I am aware that I
naturally seem to be better at some styles than others. I look around Flickr and see some amazing
photography often wondering how it was done and envious of some of the locations. Any Help! comments/ tips/ tricks, criticism good or bad is much appreciated.

I was sitting on our side porch with my camera and saw the sheep and lambs running from something.
Two of the little Amish boys were chasing them with big sticks.
If you look close you can see one of the boys.
Mama wasn't too happy with them.
Have a great week.
The sun sets under a beautiful wall cloud in far eastern South Dakota. This scene explains why I chase more than I could ever describe.

We had a lovely golden glow whilst on holiday during Christmas, last year was completley different with the big UK snow freeze lol
I have added a gradiant though ;)
We hope you all had a lovely Christmas, we loved having a real pine tree in our holiday home!!
Me & Teddy have signed up for the 52 weeks for Dog group so we are really excited for that! I have also sent my Canon 5d MKII in to the "workshop" to get fixed, gotta see how long that will take.
This young elephant seemed to have a lot of fun chasing birds and especially egyptian geese who were somehow crossing his path. Despite his large masses he was able to change direction fast. I love the way his rear legs cross.

Had a wonderful visit with my grandparents the other day. Before heading up to the family pond to fish for a little while, I popped in on my 91-year-old grandfather to let him know that we'd be back to visit him in about an hour.
"I'm awful glad to see you. I was feeling pretty lonely today."
I imagine he feels that way often. It's been ten years since my grandmother passed away. And they were so in love. I know how much I miss her everyday, so I can imagine how much space is in his heart.
So, after running through the woods and throwing rocks in the pond with the little guy for a while, I suggested to him that we go down to Great Grandpa's house to visit.
He was off like a shot. Couldn't wait to get down there. He kept running on ahead of me, calling back "Tell me to wait for you, Mommy!" And then he'd spread his arms to the breeze, partially close his eyes, and just run.
There's such a difference between being three and being ninety-one. But I suspect that their hearts carry equal amounts of love and hope and dreams.
