Only small kids would run behind bubbles so happily.. Although we would love to, our 'grown up' status hold us back from chasing the bubbles..
Why not be a kid for a day even for a minute??? :)
Really underexposed shot, this is the best I could do :(

To capture this year's Perseid meteor shower, we chose the Visegrád Mountains in Hungary, where we spent the night. The envisioned foreground was provided by the silhouette of a completely dried-out tree standing at the edge of a field. Out of the 700 photos taken throughout the night, only 15 captured meteors, which I eventually combined into a single image. In the early morning sky and on the final image, the winter sky objects such as the California Nebula and the Pleiades star cluster are clearly visible. As a bonus, we were also treated to the aurora borealis, which appears in the lower left of the image with a reddish tint.

This was amazing! Like something straight out of the film "Twister" - racing down narrow country lanes, one eye on the storm, one eye looking out for gaps in the hedgerows, braking hard, skewing into a field entrance, leaping out of the car, grabbing the camera from the boot, legging it across the sharp, freshly cut stubble to get the best view, setting the camera as I was running and dodging farmers in tractors. Honestly, the chase was probably better than the result! :-)
Thanks for visiting and I hope that you enjoy the work

I saw this on my way to work and had to drive around for a bit to find a somewhat unobstructed view. As I was taking it I was pondering how well chasing a rainbow was going to go over with my boss when I explained why I was late for work. All my fears were eliminated when he walked in 10 minutes after me and exclaimed "Did anyone see that Rainbow! I wish I had my camera!"
"Chasing the Sun" I took this yesterday while visiting the Salton Sea. It's a 3 image stitched pano. The Salton Sea is known for having spectacular sunsets and yesterday didn't disappoint!
I occasionally have the opportunity to shoot cars for a car magazine. It's utter fun and challenging.
As for the photograph, I added some contrast (it was shot from the front seat of a following car) and reduced green a bit to draw attention to this marvelous beast of pure horsepower.
Some pictures taken by the late Michael Cleary in 1998.
Apparently International Coachlines ran this service on Saturdays for a while - just one bus which I believe started at Croydon, ran to Caterham (just outside London for registration purposes) then to Enfield (Chase Farm Hospital) before returning to the Elephant & Castle! This followed from them running something similar on Christmas Day.

L515 crosses recently rebuilt Broad Street in Griffith, IN past the Railroad Park located there. It's Saturday and traffic is busy but I'm going to try to chase this train to Homewood, IL.

Run, run and run, to chase, to pursue and to excel
Over the mountains, down the rivers and on the plain
Not for glory, nor for fame, but for a tomorrow
Yet unknown, for a dream yet to eventuate..........
like a chase we move
through space and time
follow my gaze
as the stars hold mine
i keep up with you
like a sun and its moon
you run after me
like the light in a room

good weekend (:
back to the grind tomorrow :l
graduation needs to come sooner
I've always wanted to capture Hares that are chasing each other. It is called March madness (even though right now it is mid-April) and males are fighting for the right to mate with a female.
Last night I had a very long crawling session again, but I managed to get reasonably close without being noticed. It is such a big challenge to get the right camera settings. I figured I needed at least 1/500 sec shutter speed, but I also wanted to keep my ISO as low as possible. This meant that I had to sacrifice the depth of field.

If you have a dream, chase it! You only get one chance at living, so go and chase your dream. Do what ever is possible to make it come true! If in the end it doesnt, at least you can say you tried!

I haven't shot trains here for a while, but came down to photograph Amtrak #5 (rerouted over UP because of Iowa floods). It turns out that the train doing the chasing WAS the Amtrak train being led by a UP locomotive. For a variety of unfortunate events, don't expect to see a picture of the Amtrak train from me. :-(
