Trees changing color right before our eyes. Fall is full of surprises with the weather and brilliant colors. Thanks for viewing my work. Be kind.
A follow up to my previous image from this spot, the sky was ever changing being a windy day and of course so was the reflection.
"Life would be so sad and boring if there were never any wonderful and sometimes painful and difficult opportunities for growth.
It is in the growing and the changing and the stretching and the soul exercise that the biggest joys come.
So keep your head up...keep sweatin' through the soul lunges.
You are spectacularly fit for the challenge...you really are. You can do this."

Being able to walk the shoreline nearly every day provides an enlightening perspective on natural cycles of change.
I don't think it's good for our mental health to grow up in a world of static flat rectangles. It disconnects us from the spirit of the universe.
Shift Change- *I created this picture at least a week ago and to be honest I have been in a weird mental space (with the rest of the world* I was inspired to create this picture buy something my sister (@CurlesueCards) was doing and this image fought me most of the way. I really struggled with what I wanted to convey. I just really want to show my appreciation for first responders and let them know that I cannot imagine what they are going through right now but I appreciate their strength to keep on showing up everyday and helping us.
Not exactly, well maybe depending on what your lattitude is. Changes in Curvitudes maybe, Downtown Nashville has some curving if yahs look for Them LOL
The dispatcher changed his plans on us and ran N378 down number 2 track at "EM Cabin" on the Big Sandy Subdivision.

I am excited that Spring is coming next month. But I kind of miss the winter snow we never had here in NYC. So I had to dig into my archive. Have a nice day everyone. :) Thank you for visiting
As you know by now, I love when artists use music to tell a story, weaving the music and the lyrics into a tale filled with emotion and colours. Don McLean is one of those Artists who masterfully achieve this. Vincent is an Ode to the dutch painter Vincent Van Gogh (1853 - 1890). He struggled with mental illness all through his life and died at his own hands at the age of just 37. During his life, he barely sold any of his paintings. Which makes the fact that these days they are worth millions kind of a cruel joke. Don McLean weaved numerous paintings of VanGogh into his Lyrics, which is another nice touch
Starry, starry night
Paint your palette blue and gray
Look out on a summer's day
With eyes that know the darkness in my soul
Shadows on the hills
Sketch the trees and the daffodils
Catch the breeze and the winter chills
In colors on the snowy, linen land
Now, I understand what you tried to say to me
And how you suffered for your sanity
And how you tried to set them free
They would not listen, they did not know how
Perhaps they'll listen now
Starry, starry night
Flaming flowers that brightly blaze
Swirling clouds in violet haze
Reflect in Vincent's eyes of china blue
Colors changing hue
Morning fields of amber grain
Weathered faces lined in pain
Are soothed beneath the artist's loving hand
Now, I understand, what you tried to say to me
How you suffered for your sanity
How you tried to set them free
They would not listen, they did not know how
Perhaps they'll listen now
For they could not love you
But still your love was true
And when no hope was left inside
On that starry, starry night
You took your life as lovers often do
But I could have told you, Vincent
This world was never meant for one
As beautiful as you
Starry, starry night
Portraits hung in empty halls
Frameless heads on nameless walls
With eyes that watch the world and can't forget
Like the strangers that you've met
The ragged men in ragged clothes
The silver thorn of bloody rose
Lie crushed and broken on the virgin snow
Now, I think I know what you tried to say to me
How you suffered for your sanity
How you tried to set them free
They would not listen, they're not listening still
Perhaps they never will
the foliage is starting to change to the beautiful
Autumn colors... these are from two wild black cherry trees... both planted in a half barrel...
In every change, in every falling leaf there is some pain, some beauty. And that's the way new leaves grow. - Amit Ray
This is one of those new-to-camera- lens-yard-and-me shots. The house wren arrived some days ago but I was unable to get a shot off until today. Not sure what she’s up to. She’s been checking out all the holes left by the downies and nuthatches and seems to like this one the best. Her pose seems to indicate that she feels she’s part of the in-crowd and I am just glad she acquiesced to do this shoot.
Naturally, this shot was facilitated by perfect positioning of the Adirondack. The major challenge was, however, to not drift off into a snooze. This was accomplished by some mental gymnastics that involved perfecting the recipe for what I call Apple Blossom. Of course it’s not a flower, it’s the perfect summer drink. I was introduced to this in the early eighties in Victoria’s Inner Harbour in a place called the Captain’s Palace (changed to Huntingdon Mansion). It’s one of those Victorian mansions converted into a restaurant and they really serve(d) wonderful fare. And part of the breakfast menu was, you guessed it, the Apple Blossom. I could have stayed there all day sipping this nectar of the gods and observing the goings on in the harbor. They never did tell me what the ingredients were but due to my tenacious nature (I’ve been called a pit bull) I am now getting awfully close and finally reaping the fruits of my labor.
Feliz Primavera para el hemisferio Sur!!
Happy first day of Spring for the South Hemisphere!!
And welcome Fall to the Northern Hemisphere!!
Y bienvenido el otoño en el hemisferio Norte.
Darss, Germany, 2019
From my point of view very characteristic scene of the baltic coastline in northern Germany. In that area, the sea is literally eating its way into the land. Some of that sand is then deposited at the northern tip of the Darss Pensinsula. Beautiful place in a constant change.

Sunk deep in the night
I sink in the night
Standing alone
Underneath the sky
I feel the chill of ice
On my face
I watch the hours go by
The hours go by
You sleep
Sleep in a safe bed
Curled and protected
Protected from sight
Under a safe roof
Deep in your house
Unaware of the changes at night
At night
I hear the darkness breathe
I sense the quiet and despair
Listen to the silence at night
Someone has to be there
Someone has to be there
Someone must be there
(The Cure - At Night)
For a change of scenery a couple of weeks ago Judy and I decided to drive over to Norfolk for lunch and then spent the afternoon travelling along the coast and taking a few pictures.
Thornham is on the north Norfolk coast, about four miles from Hunstanton. In days gone by - before the inlet silted up - there was quite an important port which was used - among other things - to unload coal brought down the coast from Newcastle. The building on the left was used to store the coal.
The small boat appears to have had its last day at sea, and unless a substantial amount of remedial work is done it will simply become another rotting hulk on the salt marshes.
These new beauties seem to change as they mature. It's not a getting old kind of change, but still healthy flower petals getting edges! Pretty!
A male American Goldfinch starting to change into its mating colors as temperatures warm up-DSC04225
The main purpose of this photograph is the expression of change in colors, mood and landscape. Focus is not the perfection of overlay of two photos including shadows,... Both were taken in 4 months difference at about the same handheld position.
... into its more drab winter plumage. American Goldfinch, the only N. American finch that undergoes two complete molts every year
Changes...turn and face the strange. Changes... There´s gonna have to be a different man. Time may change me, but I can´t trace time. David Bowie.
We found a cute little cafe for our cup of tea, called Changing Perceptions. Some info below, for those who are interested!
Changing Perceptions has quickly evolved from Godalming’s best kept secret to a popular and bustling Café and home interior shop. Located at the very top of the High Street this unique and vibrant social enterprise is just a stone’s throw away from the Meath. Meath clients are supported to up-cycle donated furniture in the on-site workshop which is then put on sale in the shop, with all profit going straight back to the charity. It is a very important part of the Meath’s philosophy to help dispel the stigma associated with epilepsy and to assist all of our clients to live alongside people from all walks of life, sharing similar experiences and hopes and dreams for the future.
This is my last photo from this trip, but don't worry, I have another couple of day trips to share!!
