This lorry is still in the same spot 6years on but the large area behind with the Seddon Atkinson cab has been completely cleared and resurfaced.

I washed out her hair because it was just way too shellacked! I figured such a fun hair color needed to be in a bit more livelier hairstyle. I am super pleased with the way that her hair came out; she looks so perfectly Mod!

"HERMANN-PLATZ IN SOUTH BERLIN IS DOMINATED BY 'WARENHAUS KARSTADT,' AN ENORMOUS DEPARTMENT STORE

From a roof garden on top of this modern structure, an expansive view of all southeast Berlin may be enjoyed. In its method of merchandising and display, as well as in its architecture, the emporium reflects American influence."

Xiamen, China | Feb. 2016

empire roller skating center is uncomprehensibly amazing. the murals and the disco skating are something i wish i had experienced years ago. the last roller rink in nyc is closing and being converted into a storage facility in 2 weeks. you should go.

With the Canberra branch not seen regular freight traffic to the centre of the capital since the Fuel Trains, the start of February changed this.

Pausing here at Picton on the Main South in the early hours of the morning to perform a crew change, EL60 and EL53 wait patiently with 2170 empty scrap metal service to MCS at Mascot. This new service operated and crewed by ESPEE Railroad Services would run into the facility at Mascot and load containers there before heading back to Canberra.

Here is another image of the Ferris Wheel with the fancy light set-up. The guy who said it keeps changing was right. Just about every shot I took is different.

Gone has the view of the Suffolk countryside.

Taken for TSC theme ~ "Change your Settings"

Both are shot in AV mode with a speed of 1/125, ISO 200 but I changed my fstop. On the left is f4 and on the right is f9. The differences are slight but in the f9 on the right, the petals are more detailed etc. f4 gives the more softer look than f9.

In the midst of how this world has become we are witnessing history. I'm optimistic that it will be better once this is over.

At Kirtlebridge there were leaves hanging on and others on the ground. The signs of Spring coming with new bulbs too.

So I said I was changing the story (now named "House of Cards")in my last post and this is what I will be doing.

I will be changing the doll story to shorter parts like what I did to my last picture with Perta.

It kind of feels like I am doing a whole lot of work for nothing, hardily anybody is actually following it so…. I am just going to change it.. Less words, more pictures, you get the idea. Like a photo story instead of a chapter story. It will also give me a chance to improve on my photography skills which need work. And shorter so it will be easier to read. :)

I will do one last “half normal post” with Jaime and Shane only because it is already written. But it will be broken up so it won't be so much to read. Alright that is all. :) Hope you are fine with the changes.

Already in 2016 the effects of climate change were being felt. The second largest colony of Emperor penguins has disappeared in Antarctica. But climate change continues to be denied, man does not want to realize that he is destroying planet Earth.

Mother Earth, we don't have another.

The futur side and the past side.

I have a thing about taking photos in changing rooms and public bathrooms XD

Up until just a few miles before this time (when I reached Tuba City), I had no reason to expect anything other than a continuation of the clear and dry skies I had been experiencing for most of my twelve days of travel. A quick check with the Weather Channel, however, confirmed what my eyes were telling me... the weather was terrible (heavy rain) over the Canyon, and not expected to improve for at least a couple of days. No views, no walking/hiking, no camping, no fun at all.

It made no sense to continue any further in this direction, so this is where I made the decision to drive the 300+ miles so I could sleep in my bed that night in Tucson.

Had to share with all my friends who are going through the change :)

8-year old Kaiky; what future is there in store for him...?

Can we change his World? Maybe, with a little help from our friends?

We have now reached USD$3.190,00 with our Flickr Christmas Campaign, “Reaching for a Star”, that’s almost 32% of our total aim and still rising...

That will purchase some of the equipment needed for our new shelter, but there’s still a long way to go.............................

Good people!

We are preparing a new shelter for some of the street kids from the centre of São Paulo. This is a partnership project with a young Norwegian lady who has decided to join us and make the street kids her life too! The house is already purchased and now it needs to be equipped. This will be a small, family-structured project, one which has proven itself from my own experiences as a long-term foster parent for many street kids these last 14 years, two of whom are now young adults and will be assisting with the running of the shelter.

I will be the mentor for these young apprentices.

Our main aim is to implement foster-care as an important facility for recuperated street children in Brazil. Today many kids are doomed to live the rest of their childhood in an institutional setting due to the lack of structured family alternatives.

The shelter aims to tackle small numbers of children coming off the streets, where Hummingbird will be their reference for positive social reintegration and their pathway to a new family structure.

Equipping a home, as you all well know, is no easy task for any family, but we aim to have the home up and running by February/March 2007. If you feel this cause worthy please don't hesitate to make your contribution to the Reaching for a Star Campaign:

To give you just some idea of our needs:

Fridge: $700,00

Gas Cooker: $700,00

Washing Machine: $600,00

Installation of two bathrooms: $2.800,00

Installation of kitchen: $1.500,00

Kitchenware: $1.000,00

TV / Video / DVD: $750,00

Computer: $900,00

Mattresses and bedclothes: $1.200,00

Furnishings: $2.000,00

etc. etc.

As you can imagine, the needs, even for the basic necessities, are many, but if we reach the $10.000,00 target for the Reaching for a Star campaign (plus a little more), we will have installed the house ready for use. A little from many will make all the difference.

Please help us to help more kids leave the streets and certain death!

I'm sure you would if you knew them...........

Thank you!
