I need/want (to) change.

I'll make it happen. I'm just not sure how.

It's kind of funny, because I noticed that, everytime I really really want something, anything to change, I change my hair. Even if it's just a little bit.

Changes by David Bowie

Not sure I'd put this up on a billboard, but it should be fine for a decent wall sized poster. Mostly here to showcase how good m4/3 is for cropping, with the right lens.

To exist is to change, to change is to mature, to mature is to go on creating oneself endlessly.

In Dominican Republic hundreds of people in white gathered to raise their

voices and commitment to the climate crisis. The message conveyed was the

threat of sea level rise to an island nation as Dominican Republic and was

part of one of the 350 EARTH events happening worldwide, a week before the

climate negotiations. This day, November 21st, will always be remembered as

the day that Dominicans came together for Planet Earth, our only home.

I love Coinstar. It's like a game that everyone wins.

But this time, it's you, the public, who wins.

Please comment your guess here for posterity.

South end of the Erie Siding is seeing changes this day as J783 heads south. New signal bases are installed and the work for the new Potash Corporation yard is to the right. Sadly, new signals are now up at this location.

1990 heralded a new decade with momentous change and significant events unfolding internationally and at home in Queensland. German reunification was achieved following the ‘fall’ of the Berlin Wall in November 1989. The Baltic states of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia in turn declared their independence from the Soviet Union. Nelson Mandela was released after 27 years of imprisonment in South Africa, and Margaret Thatcher resigned as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom after more than 11 years in office. British computer scientist Tim Berners-Lee created the first web server and web browser, and the Hubble Space Telescope was launched from the space shuttle ‘Discovery’.

The Australian Labor Party’s federal election campaign was launched in Brisbane in early March before Prime Minister Bob Hawke’s government was returned later that month for a historic fourth term. Andrew Peacock resigned the leadership of the federal Liberal Party after the election defeat and was replaced by Dr John Hewson. Earlier in March, the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Commission (ATSIC) was founded. The inaugural Cape York Aboriginal Land Conference took place at Lockhart River in September, leading to the formation of the Cape York Land Council.

The nation’s first women Premiers were sworn into office this year, firstly Western Australia’s Carmen Lawrence in February followed by Victoria’s Joan Kirner in August. On the day of Kirner’s swearing in, the Hawke government announced Australia would join the international naval blockade of Iraq in the Persian Gulf. A specially convened ALP national conference in September endorsed the privatisation of Qantas and other assets, ahead of deregulation of the domestic aviation market in November. Near that month’s end, Treasurer Paul Keating declared Australia was enduring “the recession we had to have”.

The 90s was a decade of building infrastructure that connected the state, the Internet changed how we worked, and Agro was a prime-time TV star. We selected highlights from thousands of images captured by Transport and Main Roads, documenting the plans, programs, and growth of Queensland throughout the decade.

The Transport and Main Roads Visual Resource Library collection contains over 200,000 photographs and other resources from the 1920’s to 2005 from the many and varied road, transport and maritime departments over that time. It is mostly the work of the Photographic Branch and Graphic Reproduction Services Unit between the 1930s and the 1990s. Photographers from the 1990s Maureen O'Grady, Ian Williams, Steven Foss, Lewis Young, Yme Yullener, Ian Wilson, Ray Burgess and Debbie Grant recorded these works and events of the Department. Subjects covered include road construction projects, environmental science, road fittings, public transport and road users, people at work, community engagement, official openings, sod turnings, new structures (bridges, dams and Queensland University), awards, department initiatives, safety campaigns, exhibitions and displays.

I love how the weather changes here in Northern Nevada. This is an hour and twenty minutes.

The Queen Elinor transforming doll from the Disney Store. You don't actually have to put her in the bear suit, it works fine on its own. But I guess if kids were acting out the story, it would be fun to put her in the suit.

One of the coolest parts of a Sichuan Opera is Bian Lian 变脸; literally "Face-Changing". It is an ancient Chinese dramatic art that is part of the more general Sichuan opera. Performers wear brightly colored costumes and move to quick, dramatic music. They also wear vividly colored masks, which they change within a fraction of a second.

Below you can see a video my wife took from the performance. Needless to say it was cooler in real life!

Also, I stole the above description from wikipedia XD

A few days ago I shot this beautiful little berry and it was pink & red, you don't find much pink in the fall, but now the berries have changed to this wonderful red glow. Magical.

ODC2 ~ June 7 ~ Change

Technology has changed the way we do things in all walks of life. For those of us who love photography it has been dramatic . We have evolved from a 24 exposure roll of film to SD cards which hold thousands of pictures. We can chose the best shots, upload and edit them in moments instead of hours with a program such as PhotoShop. Heck, with the ability to take so many photos and edit them it can change a poor photographer like me into an average photographer with just a little editing.

This roll of film was in a bag that contains my mother's old Canon EOS 650 35 mm camera. I got it along with her passion for travel and photography when she passed away years ago. I just may go and use it to see how she did it when she was taking pictures in Australia and Egypt 20 years ago. I may just like it.

I was looking at all the pics on this page and thinking about how very different they all are - bold, calming, funny, soft....i like the wide range of emotions they bring out in me. And hopefully you. I love how looking at a photo can really make you feel something. Sometimes I open a picture on Flickr and my hand goes to my chest and my mouth falls open. I love that...

Thank you all for your thoughtful comments. I know I cannot take a pic every day that makes people go wow.... but I was thrilled to see your comments on that ocean pic a few down the page here because I think it is one of my favorite photos I have ever taken.

Cheers. And HBW!

Emily fashion doll by Arcady / Barbie clone doll

Emily was Jada’s friend made by Arcady sold in similar boxes as Jada with only the name changed to Emily.

“Arcady” the company that made Emily sold this doll in many knockoff Barbie doll boxes that used Barbie’s logo designs and cartoon illustrations as their own. Emily had a friend doll named Jada that was another Barbie clone knockoff that that was an African American version of Barbie. Emily was mostly sold in boxes with extra outfits with accessories. She was also sold with a friend doll which was basically an extra Emily doll in the box instead of Jada.

Arcady is a toy company in China that makes knockoff fashion dolls and toys for Dollar stores that sell knockoff products. This company is known for making Barbie clones that used left over stock of old Barbie head molds from the early 2000s. Mattel updated Barbie’s looks over the years the head molds that many of these toy companies use are outdated versions of Barbie’s head mold that Mattel no longer uses.

Mattel, has made a rule to many of these toy companies these days, that they can no longer use these old versions of Barbie’s head mold due to copyright infringement. Instead Mattel told these companies to make their own fashion doll head molds to stop copying Barbie.

It's one of those cloudy days in West Yorkshire, where we have a sky that is ever changing and both a mix of cloud and blue sky peeping through. By 5 pm there is a lot more sunshine ans there was this morning earlier on,.....better than rain !

You can see on the fields though the change in light levels as clouds pass over....all looking rather lush at the moment.
