Just as the Met office have announced that it'll be turning cold next week, I find today my first 'brown' Green shieldbug of the season!

A sensible man will remember that the eyes may be confused in two ways - by a change from light to darkness or from darkness to light; and he will recognize that the same thing happens to the soul. ~Plato
“Nature gives to every time and season some beauties of its own; and from morning to night, as from the cradle to the grave, it is but a succession of changes so gentle and easy that we can scarcely mark their progress.”
Charles Dickens (English novelist, generally considered the greatest of the Victorian era, 1812-1870)

I've recently decided to change my look, nothing major, just tinkering.

Galdar has service 100 from Las Palmas, which speeds things up getting there. Not having paid attention on a previous visit I didn't realise that there was a 3+ hour break with these from 1045 on. The arrival of 1474 to work the 1015 back made for an earlier departure than planned. I have a bit of a soft spot for these, so hopped on. One thing that did strike me, the lack of leg space. The seats must be around 150mm closer together than those experienced on other fleet members, a touch of Ryanair about them. Still, they are still pretty nippy in the hands of a keen driver. From white to fleeting pink - to brown, - to gone - and then eventually raspberry red fruit forms from the green centres. It's an interesting tree and since the deer can't get at it anymore, it grows a lot. I think I'll let the deer get to the lower branches next spring to encourage the higher growth of branches and bracts. It's far too tall for them to do too much damage to it anymore.
Thanks to all for your comments and faves too - they are all much appreciated.
