As Found on eBay:

This is an amazing opportunity for you to own a nostalgic piece of automobile history!

Dodge marketed this Mitsubishi-built car in the late 70’s and early 80’s as the Challenger. A sister model, the Sapporo was also marketed by Plymouth. These much loved cars have all but disappeared from the face of the planet but this Challenger has survived and never ceases to cause a stir!

The Challenger came very well equipped for the time with a big 2.6 liter 4-cylinder engine, 5-speed manual transmission, power steering, power 4-wheel disc brakes, 14-inch radial tires with raised-white letters mounted on alloy-wheels, full instrumentation including a tachometer, tilt steering, intermittent wipers, overhead console with digital clock and pivoting map light and dual power side mirrors just to name a few features. This car is equipped with a MOPAR air conditioning system (not currently working) and a period correct AM/FM cassette stereo.

It is finished in a factory two-tone color scheme of Bright Blue Metallic (B22) and Warm White (W61). The interior on this car is an amazing blast from the past! The blue and white with blue, white and red plaid inserts is completely original and in terrific shape! The color-matched louvers on the side windows were standard but the louvers on the rear window were an aftermarket accessory. The rear louvers lift up for easily window cleaning or can be easily removed for a more stock look. Clearly the car has been loved and well cared for its 34 years.

For its time the Challenger was a unique car not only to look at but also to drive. This Challenger runs and drives terrifically! The engine has good power and the transmission shifts smoothly. It cruises at freeway speeds with no problems. We recently installed a remanufactured carburetor and muffler and tailpipe. It passed California emissions on 6/22/12. I just completed a couple hundred mile trip in the car and it performed very well!

THE GOOD

Clearly this car is a survivor and is one of what must be very, very few Challengers left in original condition. There are just tick over 95,000 miles on the odometer which (based on the car’s condition) are assumed to be correct. Mechanically the car starts, runs, drives and stops well. The interior is an amazing time capsule as you can see from the photos. All the gauges, the radio, the overhead console with clock, the dual power mirrors and intermittent wipers work. The car is like it was back in the 70’s right down to the original Mitsubishi ignition key. The car comes with an owner’s manual and shop manual as well as an original sales brochure. It is ready for you to drive and enjoy.

THE NOT SO GOOD

Though in great condition overall, this car is 34 years old and has a few dings and scratches here and there. There is a small amount of surface rust on the lower rockers of the front fenders which is characteristic of these cars. Though the finish is brilliant, the clear coat on the hood and roof are crazed and a meticulous owner might want to have those parts refinished. There is an aftermarket power antenna installed that does not work. As previously mentioned the air conditioner is not working. There is a chip in the plastic on the driver’s side mirror and one of the vents in the center of the dash is missing. Each seat should have four small plastic trim pieces that is finish trim. Some of these trim pieces have come off (pictured). The original alloy wheels have not been curbed but could stand a good polishing. Sections of the wheels were painted blue by a previous owner and that paint job has not stood the test of time. None of these things listed greatly deter from how nice this car is overall. I simply mention them so you the potential buyer has a good idea of the car’s true condition.

My Challenger uses two XL Power Functions motors for power with an up gearing to produce a bit more speed than the straight 1 to 1 gearing I've used in past builds.

here's a Dodge Challenger found Sitting in a Parking lot at the candlewood hotel i was staying at just outside of Birmingham...its a Black on Black...(Black rims,Black Car)...while there is nothing wrong with this look..i would have preffered Chrome Rims....i believe this one has the Hemi 6.0 Engine in it.

Virginia Range horses Rescued ~ round two ~ 2012

This is the first day in a safe pasture after being bought at livestock auction to save them from kill buyers! Kill buyers are those who bid on horses & if they win the bid, they take the horses to slaughter plants in Canada & Mexico. : (

The grease mark number & glued on tag are still on his rump from the auction.

The Nevada Department of Agriculture needs to stop removing our wild horses & sending them directly to livestock auction where kill buyers are licking their lips to profit on the flesh of our beloved wild horses! They really should work with local advocate groups to find them adopters or sanctuary. It used to be so, but currently there is not a working relationship with advocates & NDoA. : ( Many are currently being removed from the VIrginia Range, near Virginia City & Reno areas.

Stop in the name of love. Preserve & Protect our remaining wild horses in the West.

I named this one Challenge, as here he is running over to challenge another stallion. There are some more photos of him in my stream, alone & also with his contender, who I call the "Peaceful Loner".

Day 300 of 365 - is Black Cat Day. Nothing is quite as elegant as a black cat—like a miniature Amazonian jaguar, they doze atop the highest point in the area, waking for several hours daily to prowl around hunting for a tasty morsel. But black cats and kittens are often overlooked when animal shelters are looking for new homes, and can be at the shelter much longer than they should be. So why is this?Interestingly, cats in ancient Egypt were revered highly, partly due to their ability to combat vermin such as mice, rats. Cats of royalty were known to be dressed in golden jewelry and were allowed to eat right off their owners’ plates. The goddess of warfare was a woman with the head of a cat named Bastet. These days, however, black cats are often are seen as unlucky or mischievous, but not everyone knows why that is. In Celtic mythology, it was believed that fairies could take the form of black cats, and therefore their arrival to a home or village was seen as sign of good luck. Unfortunately, the Pilgrims that came after them were devoutly religious and fearful of anything remotely related to the pagan beliefs of their ancestors, and it was because of that fear that black cats went from being seen as the vessels of fairies to the vessels of witches and demons. At that time it became common practice to severely punish those who kept black cats as pets, and even kill the animals themselves. Although these days nobody really believes black cats are witches or demons in disguise anymore, they are still often seen as signs of bad luck by many people in the West. If you have a cat, especially a black one, today is the day to make it feel extra special, and give your cat back some of the love they give you on a daily basis. Buy your cat a new toy or a tasty treat and spend the afternoon playing tug-of-war or rubbing its belly—nobody knows how to enjoy the little things in life like cats do. If you’ve been thinking about getting a cat of your own and have the time to take proper care of it, maybe today should be the day you welcome a furry feline into your life? And even if you can’t have a cat due to allergies or other reasons, that doesn’t mean you can’t celebrate this day! Making a small donation to your local animal shelter can help countless felines and get you in good with the cats of this world . . . you know just in case they really do have magic powers!

NOTE: This is a photo of Faith, she was my sisters cat, she recently passed away at the age of 19. My sister bought her when she was 8 weeks old, they had a great life together.

MMI Couples Challenge

Brice and I chose the Hollywood Power Couple, Rhett Butler and Scarlett O'Hara from the award winning movie, Gone With The Wind. Rhett Butler was a lovable scoundrel and rogue. A man of means with a past, he has a reputation for womanizing and gambling but Rhett is a man to be reckoned with and he sets his sights on the spoiled, petulant and very beautiful Scarlett O'Hara. She's 15 years his junior but she's never met a man like Rhett, although it takes some time for the two of them to come together. With his wealth and resources and her determination and charm they wielded influence and power in the south. Their relationship was a stormy one full of ups and downs. Our favorite look on Scarlett and Rhett was the evening outfits they wore to attend a special birthday party for Ashley Wilkes. Decked out in their finery with their opulence on display they made a gorgeous couple. Their relationship was a rocky one and even in the ending scene of the movie we watch as Rhett walks out the door. Will he return? We believe in happy endings so we choose to think so. We attempted to duplicate these outfits for our Couples Challenge using the following items listed below in our styling credits. Scarlett wore a red velvet gown. beaded at the bodice, with dyed ostrich feathers and a light pink almost transparent wrap. Rhett wore a fashionable tuxedo of the day in black with a top hat.

I had no idea this car had come out, but still crazy cool!

The Ferrari Challenge series was initiated in 1993 as a result of a number of Ferrari owners expressing a wish to be involved in racing their cars. The Ferrari 348 was the first car to be chosen and modified to make it suitable for track racing, being designated as the Ferrari 348 Challenge model. As new Ferrari models are introduced the car used in the Challenge series is changed every few years. At the Ferrari Racing Days meeting at Silverstone in September 2017 one of each of the five Challenge cars to have competed in the series up to 2017 was on display in the International Paddock. In 2000 the Ferrari 360 Modena Challenge took over till 2006 and has the 3,596cc F131 V8 engine.I took the photograph early in the morning after what had been a very chilly night and the windows of all the cars were all still frozen. Since 2017 two further challenge models have been introduced, the Ferrari 488 Challenge and the 488 Challenge Evo.
