Some chains down from the steps by the City of London School.
Went walkabouts in London when Jon popped down for a visit. Thought it a good chance to test out some manual lenses.
Taken at the Charleston Marina. The tire has been modified to be held to the side of the barge using a chain
A little bit cropped - only slight color saturation and contrast processing

Just testing out my new G10.
I have also decided to start documenting the Malé swimming track; which is basically and quite ironically, the islands only swimming area. Unless you count the artificial beach; but that place is tiny and extremely shallow.

The "Schuylkill Chained & Waterworks" statues
also known as "Schuylkill Chained & Freed"
by: William Rush
The allegorical male figure (Chained) represents the Schuylkill River. Wrapped in chains, he reclines on a group of rocks surrounded by flowing water. The allegorical female, representing the Waterworks (Freed) sits beside a water wheel.

The villagers of Pineville chained these giant rocks together so that they would not break off the mountain top, roll down, and crush their small Appalachian town. So far, it's worked.
I can see wilderness in her which was restricted by our modern world and society...

The very unusual color of this chain caught the corner of my eye as I was cruising down the road. I made a U-Turn, went back and took some pics for Happy Fence Friday. HFF !

This was supposed to be my submission to last week's DIP-it-Thursday, but I ended up liking the violin one more ^___^
Enrollment is next week ... I'm quite excited to be a student again, but I'm also really scared :D I'll be in a new place with new people ... I don't really adjust to change that well ... I get sick *really* easily when I'm placed in a new environment ... just like our goldfish, lol
