Continuing with yesterday's daisy theme, a daisy chain. I want to say that no daisies were hurt during the making of this, or at least no more daisies than necessary, but I cannot because it would be a lie. It is a lot harder than I remember to make a daisy chain. Some time during primary school, I do not quite remember when, I joined in with the rest of the year group to make the longest daisy chain - we wanted to break the world record. Of course, none of us actually knew what the world record was for the longest daisy chain, but we got it to be all the way from the top playground to the bottom playground - to children that is quite a long way. I think the only reason I was involved was because they needed everyone in the year to be able to make it before the end of break - if they had had ample people, I would probably not have been involved.
I have to thank my lovely neighbour for agreeing to let me photograph her. I was very close to asking my brother to be in this photo - hey, why not break the social gender stereotypes just a little more and have a boy wearing a daisy crown? My only problem was that he is not home at the moment. Maybe when I see him next...
Oh, I used Mango Street's free Lightroom preset, because I was pressed for time and I could not get it to look how I wanted without a lot of fiddling about with it, and with pressing biology work waiting for me, how could I hang around working on something that I actually wanted to be doing?
The first time you get a belly chain around your waist is a very special feeling.
The first thing you notice is how extremely restrictive it is. Picking something up, adjusting the jumpsuit snaps, even walking in the already pretty restrictive leg irons -- it all becomes way more difficult. There is no way anyone would be able to hurt somebody wearing this, let alone escape. Once the chains go on, you're completely in the control of the CO's.
The fact that a scrawny guy like me has to be put in such heavy restraints "for everyone's safety" is just surrea. I'm in deep trouble this time...

Using my Nikkor 35mm prime I captured this chain which is used to tie boats to on Shaldon beach although this one has nothing on it and it looked like it had been this was for sometime.
The very unusual color of this chain caught the corner of my eye as I was cruising down the road. I made a U-Turn, went back and took some pics for Happy Fence Friday. HFF !

This was supposed to be my submission to last week's DIP-it-Thursday, but I ended up liking the violin one more ^___^
Enrollment is next week ... I'm quite excited to be a student again, but I'm also really scared :D I'll be in a new place with new people ... I don't really adjust to change that well ... I get sick *really* easily when I'm placed in a new environment ... just like our goldfish, lol

Although not visible without zooming in, I bought this pair of pumps because I liked the small chains that are hanging around the heels.
He is not that gentle as he looks. He has got some sharp young teeth which he tries to utilize every time you come close to him. He would jump on you to show how much he likes to play with you. But sorry Spike, we are busy urban people to find time for playing with you. For now be chained.

...Barbera inspired me to take this foto (she had posted a chained link fence a few days ago) and when I saw these weeds hugging this fence surrounding an empty lot downtown as I walked to the Art Show last nite, I just had to catch this captivating weedy wonder all chained up with no place to go, but pose prettily for photogs!!! :~O

An abandoned cotton spinning mill somewhere in Wales. Abandoned for some time, not sure on the history behind it. Visited with Wiffsmiff23. Ended up doing some obscure macro work as part of the visit too.
