After a rough 2020, I'm hoping that 2021 will be a banner year. We can all do our part by being a little kinder and forgiving.

Catene
Chains
Sometimes life and its various events can partly deteriorate things. But we are bound, we are chains that resist rust and live together over time and space, united by intention and inner ascent...cheer up!
Taken last week in Budapest. Having no tripod, i balanced my camera on my camera bag to get this shot. If you like architecture it's a city well worth visiting.
The largest surviving chained library in the world is at Hereford Cathedral in the UK, where all the books are still kept under lock and key in their original chains. It has been rebuilt in its original arrangement, exactly as it had been from 1611 to 1841.
Medieval books were very expensive and the chain allowed them to be read but not removed.

My ninth build for the chain challenge between myself and Joeseidon. Only two more to go!
Echo and I waited for Emory at the train station today as he went up to Seattle to attend his grand daughter's wedding and returned home today. Echo handle the strange sounds at the depot really well---the loud rumbling of the parked freight train [see below] didn't phase her.
Also: Posting early--i'll be away tomorrow:
I've got a pregnant cat to trap tomorrow at my cat colony. I tried to trap her earlier this summer but she was wise to my trap so I only trapped her kitten and decided to wait until Fall to trap her when the migrant workers had moved on. But Felipe says it looks like she could have kittens any time...so I must act fast. Wish me luck. I will not be on Flickr until tomorrow night.
