Tell-tales that used to warn brakemen to the presence of the Eighth Street Viaduct still hang in the lower Westside of Cincinnati on Cincinnati's Industrial track.
11308 - Boeing Vertol CH-113A Labrador - Canadian Forces - Canadian Air Force
in yellow SAR RESCUE/SAUVETAGE c/s
at Greenwood Military Aviation Museum (YZX)
c/n 4002 - built in 1964
The aircraft started life as a CH-113 Voyageur with the Canadian Army and then served with 450 Sqn. before becoming a SAR aircraft in the mid-1970s and being upgraded to CH-113A configuration at Boeing in Arnprior, ON. In 2010, the aircraft became part of the collection of the Greenwood Aviation Military Museum, at CFB Greenwood, Nova Scotia, a former CH-113 Labrador base.
Two recent acquisitions by Lomas (Ladyline) of Key Green (CH) were back at base when I popped by recently. Both are Dennis Javelin/Plaxton combinations.
W476 MKY has a Plaxton Premiere body whilst RIL 1016, which was previously AB04 MTB, carries Plaxton Paragon bodywork.
