Der Herbst zeigte sich nochmal von seiner schönsten Seite als ich in der Burghalden über dem Zürichsee die letzten Einsätze der BDe Fotografiert habe. Die FLIRT waren bereits in Auslieferung und ersetzten die Triebwagen.
Aufstieg zum Gipfel
Der Säntis ist mit 2501,9 m ü. M. der höchste Berg im Alpstein. Durch die exponierte, nördlich vorgelagerte Lage des Alpsteins ist der Berg eine von weither sichtbare Landmarke. So gibt es beispielsweise im Schwarzwald oder auf der Schwäbischen Alb Häuser mit dem Namen Säntisblick.

What it is , a passing Chinook !!
The Boeing Chinook is a large, tandem rotor helicopter operated by the Royal Air Force (RAF). A series of variants based on the United States Army's Boeing CH-47 Chinook, the RAF Chinook fleet is the largest outside the United States. RAF Chinooks have seen extensive service including fighting in the Falklands War, peace-keeping commitments in the Balkans, Northern Ireland and action in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars.
The Chinook aircraft, normally based at RAF Odiham, provides heavy-lift support and transport across all branches of the British armed forces. The RAF has a total of 60 Chinooks in active inventory as of 2015. In 2018, the UK issued a request to the United States to purchase 16 additional aircraft. The Chinook is expected to remain in RAF service until the 2040s.
Thank goodness they announce their coming and then you get a chance to get into a good position to grab a couple of shots , the only info I got on this one is that it came from Bournemouth way .
Barrie Airshow 2025 was enjoyable. I liked that it felt like a true community event—I brought the whole family, and there was something interesting for everyone. However, it was a bit of a flop for me, as the subjects were far away for my 400mm lens. To make things worse, I was using single point AF instead of continuous AF (major mistake). Cropping wasn’t an option this time due to the hazy conditions from wildfire smoke. I ended up throwing all of my photos (except a couple), unfortunately. Maybe next time.
