This image really started my love for the X-Pro1.
When I purchased the Fuji X-Pro1 just prior to deploying to Afghanistan, photographer colleagues said I was a little crazy to be buying a brand new unproven camera system to take to a place where things just needed to work and work in some of the harshest conditions you can imagine.
The X-Pro1 was in no uncertain terms quite quirky when it was released but its capabilities were, and still are, extraordinary. Fujifilm to its credit further developed the X-Pro1 right up until its replacement was announced, and they only ever improved it. I had no hesitation using it in conjunction with Nikon D3 and D4.
The absolute stand out of the Fujifilm X system for me is the size, I can carry several bodies and an array of lenses in the same space as a full-frame DSLR and a 70-200mm f2.8 lens.
I love how unobtrusive the X-Pro1 is and whilst I might lust over the medium format GFX 50, I am never unhappy with the images the X-Pro1 produces.
