"Crown shyness" - a tendency typical of species of same kind to shy away from each other and creating gaps. The phenomena often seen in upper canopy vegetation and large tree species. The minimal sun rays ("subflecks") penetrating through the gaps sustain understorey vegetation and also a vent for atmospheric gaseous exchange.
Dryobalanops sumatrensis (J.F.Gmel.) Kosterm. Dipterocarpaceae. CN: [Malay - Kapur; and regional vernacular names - Kapur anggi, Kapur bukit, Kapur peringii, Kapur ranggi, Keladan, Kladan, Telaji, Kapur singkel, Kapur barus, Kapuran], Borneo camphor, Malay camphor, Sumatra camphor. Native to Malaysia (Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah, Sarawak), Indonesia (Sumatra, Kalimantan), Brunei. Habitat - In undisturbed mixed dipterocarp lowland forests up to 300 m altitude. Emergent trees up to 62 m tall and 197 cm dbh. Stem with resin. Leaves alternate, simple, penni-veined, secondary venation very close together. Flowers ca. 5 mm in diameter, white, placed in short panicles. Fruits ca. 35 mm long, yellow-red-purplish, with five wings originating from the calyx base up to ca. 50 mm long, wind dispersed. Source of timber and essential oil. This species was one of the main sources of camphor.

I used this "Heatmap" technique to bring the trademark up so it was easier to see. It is very faded and difficult to see in the original. From a shed in the town of Duranillan, Western Australia.

Most people opt for the Gulf colours when buying this car from all the ones on offer, but I decided on something different and designed this livery with the seemingly endless packets of cigarettes my father used to smoke when I was a boy in mind.

My Lego shelf with an unbuilt model thrown in. Colour matches fairly well but the lighting is a little off.
The render is actually generated over the background image using a really neat macro which lets it reflect the background stuff. Compositing involves adding the shadow (also generated by povray in a separate render) and blurring the model.

This CGI office was created for a leading manufacture and is only a small example of the CGI photography images we produced for their new product launch. Our set designer and stylists were responsible for all the creative production designing all the room layouts and the interior design of the room decor.
All the 3D models and Photorealistic textures for this CGi office were created by our in house team of CGI illustrators/artists with the support of the Photographers and stylists department.
