I can see it in the *stars*: this entry will *zip* me into the next round!
Build #4 for Round 2 of #IronForge2026 uses 25 seed parts.
Convair T-29B navigation trainer on display at the Pima Air and Space Museum. Shorter exposure than I wanted because a battery change slightly moved the camera, misaligning the startrails, and with nowhere near the stars I would have liked due to light pollution.
Merged in Startrails.de, think I might take another stab through Photoshop at some point.
What does it mean to you?
For me, it is heaven touching earth or man's striving for oneness with the Infinite!
Happy New Year, flickr friends!

It was not easy to get this image, light conditions were not ideal and I opted for a LE. I processed this photo trying to have soft light and colours which fit with the silk effect and the haze produced by the vaporized water. The rock gives a touch of colour. A classic composition in this site with a personal vision in the edition.
I hope you like it!

Thank you very much for your comments and faves, regretfully, I am finding it increasingly difficult to reply to your comments, because of my very limited time on the internet, due to constant power interruptions in South Africa. I do read and appreciate every one of them, however! Thanks again!!
I look at this, and I'm concerned I've over edited it. Even so, I like it, and it fits with what was in my head.

Big, beautiful and bold, the colors in the streaming aurora were a little surprising but very welcome.
Better lens this time, very reliable standby Sigma 1:18 14mm.
I was more than happy to undertake a 4 am stint to capture this image of Corfe Castle with a Milky Way backdrop. The level of light pollution from the village was far less than I expected. Montage of two exposures for the sky and for the f/g which was pretty dark. Passing cars did light it up but not to my liking so it was 4min @ ISO 1600. As well as a bright passing satellite I might have caught a stray Lyrid meteor.
My thanks to Tony Cowburn, Dorset 'Star Chasers' forum on Facebook for the inspiration for this shot.

This is the end of the light show from "On Fire". The short but intense fireworks ended with the most yummy pinks in the sky I have ever seen.
This was my first adventure to White Pocket in Arizona. All I can say is WOW! This place is otherworldly and then add the Milkyway to it and you have a whole other experience. I will be returning to explore this area more in the future.
If you are planning to visit this location, make sure you check the weather first and have a 4x4 to get there. The road is very sandy and can be hard to travel on, so be prepared.

I captured this 9-shot panorama of the Milky Way from Shenandoah National Park last night, on a night so clear and dark that the band was hard to miss with the naked eye. This view captures a full 180 degrees with the galactic core (right) rising up from due south and arching over the horizon to just shy of due north. The brightest spot on the horizon is the Washington DC metro, about 75 mi away.
