Occasionally I'll get an idea for a pretty picture with some of our products. At times I like to attempt to make a pretty pseudo blog post out of it. XD There's a couple Quills items in here specifically the Solis Halo and the Regalia Corset (Gold).

This is Lake Huron one morning covered in steam. Clouds in the background. I am definitely a dedicated photographer because it was -10 degrees that morning and I had no gloves.

This Peregrine Falcon which sat long enough for me to take a few frames has to be one awe inspiring raptor. Known for its speed and courage, It is regularly seen harassing even Bald Eagles.
- www.kevin-palmer.com - Ever since I shot a similar nightscape photo in Utah, I've wanted to try it again. But finding the right place, the right time, and the right weather isn't easy. The clouds cleared out as soon as it got dark at the Devil Canyon overlook at Bighorn Canyon National Recreation Area. When I saw everything coming together, I realized this scene was worth the time to try to shoot the highest quality photo I could. This photo is actually 3 shots with a combined exposure time of nearly an hour. First I setup my iOptron Skytracker mount on a tripod at the edge of the canyon and aligned it towards Polaris, the north star. Then I shot an 18 minute, F5, ISO 1000 exposure of the lower part of the milky way. Then I shot the upper part of the milky way. After that I turned the tracker off and pointed my camera down towards the canyon, and took a similar exposure, but with a higher ISO. Later I stitched and combined the 3 images in Photoshop and this was the result. It's much sharper than I could have gotten with a single 30 second exposure at a high ISO with the Tokina 16-28mm f2.8 lens wide open.
The celestial poetry is enchanting enough to alleviate even despair, so stargazing is priceless as a remedy. This is a shot of the north-northwesternmost part of the sky above Varlaam abbey in Meteora, Greece, with both Ursae constellations: Ursa Major (its 7 brightest stars, aka Big Dipper, Great Bear or The Plough) and Ursa Minor (aka Little Dipper, including the Polaris, of course).
Meteora is the name of the group comprising many impressive and lofty rock formations: The height of the sandstone megaliths ranges between 1,000-2,067 ft (300-630 m). The rock masses which were formed 60 million years ago are geologically unique and listed in UNESCO world heritage sites. The Varlaam monastery (abbey) was built in 1517-1518 on a 1,808 ft high (551 m) rock.

Painted as a companion picture to 'Other Worlds' posted awhile ago which is shown in the first comment box.
(The brownish planet is taken from recent photos of PLUTO) Others are merely a composite of various celestial bodies. The background is a little darker than reality.
Maybe there's somewhere out there light years away where people live in peace and harmony, for it could take light years to cure this planet of the unrelentless and spreading cancer of hatred and intolerance - if ever?????

This glittering ball of stars is the globular cluster NGC 1898, which lies towards the centre of the Large Magellanic Cloud — one of our closest cosmic neighbours. The Large Magellanic Cloud is a dwarf galaxy that hosts an extremely rich population of star clusters, making it an ideal laboratory for investigating star formation.
Discovered in November 1834 by British astronomer John Herschel, NGC 1898 has been scrutinised numerous times by the NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope. Today we know that globular clusters belong to the oldest known objects in the Universe and that they are relics of the first epochs of galaxy formation. While we already have a pretty good picture on the globular clusters of the Milky Way — still with many unanswered questions — our studies on globular clusters in nearby dwarf galaxies just started. The observations of NGC 1898 will help to determine if their properties are similar to the ones found in the Milky Way, or if they have different features, due to being in a different cosmic environment.
This image was taken by Hubble’s Advanced Camera for Surveys (ACS) and Wide Field Camera 3 (WFC3). The WFC3 observes light ranging from near-infrared to near-ultraviolet wavelengths, while the ACS explores the near-infrared to the ultraviolet.

If you’ll indulge me in a story (as you usually do, and I thank you) – 7 years ago I spoke at my first conference, After Dark. The man running it, Dave Junion, took a big chance on me. I had no experience. But I was a fireball of passion. I came and spoke and taught and little did I know, but that man taught me an unimaginable amount about life and creating. He taught me that art is play, and that I should always remember that.
At that conference, he introduced me to the people who run White House Custom Colour. I sat down with them, at my very first sponsor meeting, and started out the way any reasonable person would: by telling them that I have absolutely nothing to offer. Just kidding, no reasonable person would do that. But I did. Facepalm.
I told them I can’t really use their products and that they have no reason to sponsor me. “It’s okay,” Mike said, “we just want to help good people do good things in the world.” And from that day on, WHCC sponsored me to speak about my story at various events, and even makes a monthly contribution to The Light Space.
I learned to set the bar very, very high. That if I am going to be in this business, the standard cannot be views/likes/shares/numbers. We cannot be reduced to that. My bar is set at kindness and will never waver. Through connections, like those with Dave and WHCC and so many more, I have learned that there are people who want to support good people, and that the best people remember that all of this – art and life – is play. Thank you for those lessons.

One of my favourite astrophotographs that I have taken of the Running Chicken Nebula, located about 6500 light years from earth in the constellation of Centaurus.
With 12 hours of integration time across January and February 2022 and presented as a starless version to really showcase the chaotic beauty of this nebula.
Moon & Mars conjunction captured early 9-6-20 from Santa Fe, NM
Composite image, Moon image is a 7 panel mosaic captured with a Canon EOS 100D and a 114x900mm f/8 telescope @ f/16 (2x barlow). Mars image is a stacked video with same camera and scope @ f/32 (2x barlow + 2x teleconverter). Positions are roughly accurate to where they really were during capture.
