Climping Beach, West Sussex.

Road with speed effect. Car caution concept

A big popcorn (they were so cute when they were a tiny bundle of spiderlings!) has built its web right in the middle of the oregano. It is a very clever spot and I watched it wrap a bee bundle up.

Nature! Do you have to?!?

construction site.

While hiking up the Rimwall we reached a sheer cliff that dropped for at least 500m. It was terrifying yet alluring at the same time, and we often would peer over while crouching or laying on our stomachs. Mount Lougheed and the Windtower are seen in the distance

Manchester. Not taken during lockdown, an archive shot. Feels apt, though.

I actually thought I was keeping a close eye on the front lens element to ensure I wasn't getting too much spray but I clearly missed some. I'm so bummed because everything else aligned nicely. I saw some videos that talked about fixing them but that's way too much time.

Best,

Some people like to shoot shoes. I prefer to find a single shoe or boot someplace where it is unexpected, then wonder why it's there.

What happened here? Was there some kind of accident in the dangerous area? Is some guy walking around with one boot? At least there was no foot left in it. Yes, I looked.

At this time of year, bears always think the berries are better on the other side of the road, so you always have to be on the lookout.

I like both the color and b/w versions of this image, so I thought I'd post both. I figure, what the heck ...

This is one image in a series I'm shooting on parking decks ... shapes and forms, light and shadow play, mood and atmosphere. Some images are minimalist; others representational; still others abstract. To see more in the series click Parking Deck Series

Another view of the sunset in Ibex Springs. This was the most intense sunset I have ever experienced. After it was over, we scurried back to our relatively wind free nook, sheltered behind a small abandoned building and some trees.

Macro Mondays - Orange & Blue

The color orange is often used to represent CAUTION, while the color blue is often used to represent sadness. I used an orange safety vest made of plastic mesh over a blue, textured plastic ice chest for this photo. The orange barrier seems to be warning viewers to stay away from the blue depths (profound sadness). Heed the warning and have a very Happy Macro Monday!!!

เดินระวังนะครับ...ไม้มันแหลม (แยกเพลินจิต)

Was out getting some yard weed shots yesterday evening after the rain. I looked up and saw my little buddy splashing in puddles. He is determined these last few days to dress himself so his shoe of choice is his rainboots, even when it isnt raining...Love him some kind of good.

I saw this little This Eastern chipmunk (Tamias striatus) at the end of its tree trunk burrow at the Springfield Nature Center. After a bit of contemplation, it decided I wasn't a threat and scampered across the trail and into the leaf litter. I didn't seem many birds but played hide and seek with two different chipmunks.
